WARNING!!!

I first bought this line at a local lawnmower shop, now this shop caters mostly to professional landscapers and here I come in looking for a top of the line weed wacker and the most durable line to put in it. The store owner was reluctant to sell the average joe blow such powerful equipment but after I explained to him that my backyard looks like the set of Tarzan thanks to some wild tree roots and not cutting the grass like I should he agreed I need a powerful machine and some tough as nails string so I got a pro Stihl weed eater and this Oregon string and boy oh boy what a difference from my previous sears combo! Now mind you the store owner gave me a stern warning and I'll pass that warning on to you "be careful of pebbles or screws/nails lying around because the strength of this line and the power of the Stihl will send them flying like little missiles" this something I experienced first hand as I sent a pebble flying so fast that when it hit my aluminum garage door I thought I was getting shot at in a drive by! I will continue to use this line because it manicures my lawn to perfection and tames long wild backyard jungles with ease but I do it with caution

Recommend weed eater line

My long time mechanic for weedeaters and blowers recommend this line- have been using this line for about 5 yrs and just ran out— found this on Amazon. Happy with purchase

Best weed-eater line out there.

On average, I would take care of 8 yards in a given day. There is nothing quite as frustrating as having weed-eater line not cut or last forcing it to be replaced often. Once I made the switch to this chord it was a night and day difference from my old line. Typically, one weed-eater head with this line will last around 25 yards before it needs to be replaced. I can tell that it cuts better and lasts longer than other lines. Highly recommend if you are getting frustrated with your current weed-eater line. Have used for years and will continue to use.

tough line

This .105 line held up much better in my stihl fs131 than the .95. I tried all to compare....I'm staying with this Oregon Magnum .105

Took me a while but here I am. The string is awesome yes I will be ordering again. Love the string, I did the 3lb not the 5lb only because of I am not sure I want to carry the 5lb around till it becomes 3lb ;=)

using to hang a longwire amateur radio antenna---not using it for a string trimmer

this is very tough, resilient line with a reinforced aramid core. It has a gray color just as the photo shows it, so it doesn't stand out against the sky. Looks great as the strength member for a 135-foot-long amateur radio antenna hung between two trees at my QTH. I used 2.7mm double barrel splices (Loos SL2-4P) and 1/8" wire-rope thimbles to form tough loops at the ends, to attach the antenna and hauling line. The 2.7mm splices were exactly the right size to crimp to this .105" outer diameter line. Time will tell how it stands up to UV, though I soaked it with ArmorAll before yarding it up. I suspect it will wear very well.
