Can be glued in and used for constant pressure

The design of "O" Rings and Shark Bite is for convenience, but a better design would be simply to have standard PVC glued joints and then take away the stipulation of non-content pressure.....which means of course it is designed for use downstream of solenoid valves on sprinkler systems, which see pressure only when that zone is on. I called and was told I could glue it. It is rated for 100psi. Glueing was not a problem. And of course, no leaks and no worry of leaks on my constant pressure 45 psi line.

Poor instructions

Written installation instructions inadequate. I viewed a Youtube video on installation and followed it exactly but still had a leak on one end. The instructions say nothing about how to stop a leak after installation. I guessed the problem was incomplete seating on the leaking end. I fitted Channel Lock pliars on the connection at the leaking end and hammered the pliars toward the pipe being connected until that end properly seated. Turned on the water (40 PSI) and no leak. BTW, I had also purchased the Orbit release tools and pipe bevel in case I had to reinstall the flex repair pipe but thankfully l did not have to use it.

Had a had a leaking joint

Had a leaking right angle joint. Able to access line to and from for over 18 inches. Cut out joint and appropriate amount and unit fit right in with no problem and no leak

Works great but needed 1” for 3/4” PVC

Use OD measurement for correct sizing. Purchased 3/4” connector for 3/4” ID pipe. Connector was same OD size as pipe I was trying to connect to. My existing pipe was too large to slip into Orbit connector. Returned and bought 1” connector which went on easy as directed without any leaks.

Love It!

I use to use the ones that slid in and out but this was awesome! Kinda wished it was flexible enough to turn a complete circle to do a short run but it didn’t. Easy fix anyway. Glad I found this.

Worked Great

This 3/4" item bends 90 degrees and easily. Don't know what others are talking about -- maybe 1" is very stiff. I roughly measured, cut off one end, shoved on the unit after wetting pipe with soap water and deburring, measured carefully for the final cut, and did the same, and both ends went on smooth and easy. No leaks although I roughed up the pipe a bit digging up the dirt, but used very fine sandpaper to remove any ridges, and if there is a leak, it is super slow. I also bought the Orbit 35809 PVC Lock Release Tools that had a deburring tool, and three lock release tools for different size pipes, just to have on hand if I screwed up. The deburring tool worked fine with no skipping and roughing up the edge.
