Great piece

Staub quality as expected. Came packed in Staub box, inside another Amazon box. Love this little baker/braiser. Perfect for one person. Have braised chicken, baked potatoes, and a big cookie in it so far. Yes it’s expensive. But it will last me the rest of my life and it’s worth it.

I use it very frequently. Very useful.

I bought this for baking things like gratins and one pot meals in a toaster oven. I use it at least four times per week. It's incredibly handy, and not just for a toaster oven. It's a good size for making side dishes baked separately from other items. The cast iron makes for even heating. The tight fitting lid aids moisture retention. It is easy to clean. It is small. For example, It will hold one large pork chop or chicken thigh, a serving of cubed potato, and a serving of cut carrots. That makes it suitable for a meal for one. Another application is making a gratin or roasted vegetables as a side-dish for two. It is excellent for reheating leftovers, and for making simple dishes from leftovers. It works well for frittatas, baked fish, beef short ribs for two. I often use it in the toaster oven at 275F or 300F for one to two and a half hours, depending on what I'm cooking. The best way to apply it is either in the oven in a range when cooking in other vessels, or in a toaster oven to conserve energy. One example in a full size oven would be cooking vegetables in this vessel while roasting a chicken in a full-size cocotte.

Perfect Brie Baker!

This is a Brie Baker, and as such is the PERFECT size for melting a wheel of Brie or Camembert with some diced onions and fruit. The cheese slides around the pan and doesn’t stick, and clean up is a dream. When this arrived I was disappointed as it is so small as to be impractical. The measurements were accurate, but the photos made it seem much bigger; the product description simply says “covered baking dish” when it really needs to specify what to bake in it.

Lovely design

I really like this frying pan, it is beautiful and a comfortable size. It's great to use in the oven, but for some reason the scrambled eggs stick to it. Maybe I don't know something. But it can be washed very easily.

It’s a STAUB

If you want this size enameled cast iron, staub is among the best you can buy. I use this one for heating things in the oven. The only thing I prefer Le Creuset for are saucepan, (because of the smooth enamel (all the staub I have seen have slight texture trying to imitate cast-iron).

Love Staub

This is perfect for preparing small dishes. Sauteeing with the lid on retains moisture (e.g. in mushrooms) and speeds up cooking for example when frying an egg. I love this little braiser.

LOVE this pan!! So does my daughter (bought two) It’s used for making eggs, sautéing anything, warming things and any small amount for one or two people...this is my third Staub piece ( all purchased on sale) ....it can’t be beat!!

Perfect for one to two servings.

I have used this several times a week. it is perfect for one to two servings and fits my countertop oven well. I love all things Staub. I regret not having bought Staub enameled cast iron before I started to collect other brands.

Fabulous size for smaller portions

I love Staub - way prefer Staub to Le Creuset. This is a versatile pan - perfect size for smaller portions or side serves. The heat retention is fabulous for oven to table. Beautiful table presentation. Highly recommended

Really love this dish! Quality product. Expensive, and it's only 20cm diameter so it's small, but perfect for everyday meals for 1, to fry steaks or a couple fried eggs. Doesn't need much seasoning, really lovely product.
