Some Kuhn shears inflict a wound. These don't!

Kuhn decided it would add a jagged tooth bottle opener on the inside of the handle. NOT a brilliant idea for me, as it catches my palm whenever I'm trying to cut something difficult or tough. So these, WITHOUT THE BOTTLE OPENER, are TERRIFIC!

Awesome!!!

These shears are amazing. I use them in my kitchen, and I have a pair out in my yard for cutting plants. It opens packages, it cuts bone from chickens, it cuts fat off of meat, it can be used for anything, although it’s not real good for cutting paper. This is a utility sheer and in my opinion, is worth every penny. Don’t overlook the razor side that opens packages.

works well to cut the whole chicken

this is my second kuhn rikon shear. I owned the 8" one and found the spring busted after 2 years of use(but it was fixed afterwards by itself. weird but hooray i can still use it now). this shear really cuts through the whole chicken easily. This thing is sharp. this 9" one has come with 2 additional functionality: cardboard cutter and the bottle opener as shown in pics). I mainly use this for chicken cutting(after the chicken is cooked). I havn't tried the bottom opener function yet tho. I tried to use it to cut the tape on a cardboard box and it works. I highly recommend buying this Kuhn Rikon shear for chicken cutting. Best investment ever!

Very sharp and work well. Got a pair for home and one for my camping kit. I think the “box cutter” is useless, but love everything else about them.
