Saved the look of an expensive light that had an ugly painted ceiling cap.

I purchase an expensive light on line and had not noticed the chain and what I am calling a ceiling cap (must be the collar) were silver painted with black splattered paint. Finding that incredibly ugly, I purchased this and a replacement chain on Amazon hoping the electrician could swap them out. The initial cap/collar had only one hole, and this has 3. The electrician said that 3 is better and used the additional holes as intended to hold the lamp more securely. Everything worked perfectly. When it was done, no one would ever know that the light fixture did not come this way. Being able to do this is something new I learned, and the light is now exactly what I wanted.
