Beautiful and well made

This hinge was heavy, beautiful, and well made. Sadly, it wasn't the right size for my door (my fault, not theirs). Return and refund was quick and easy.

Excellent Quality

I really wasn't sure about the quality greater finish of the hinges when I ordered it because quite often it's different on photos versus when you have it in your hand, but I must tell you I was so pleasantly surprised these are heavy duty highly polished hinges for my front door and they are off the charts. I am so happy.

Worthless screws; wrong items sent

Pros: matches the specs of my old doors and has the right look. Cons: screws are nearly worthless. Stripped a bunch using a P2 head. I suggest predrilling and getting better screws, and perhaps order an extra. I ordered several; one was incorrect in that the pin was not removable. It looked very similar to the others, so I didn’t realize until mid install. I purchased these specifically for the removable pin. I am now not able to return it, adding to the aggravation.

They match the 98 year old period hinges we are replacing

Good solid hinges. We are redoing all the exterior doors in the Castle in Lake Worth, Florida. The Owner has requested that we make everything look as close to original as possible, unless we can make it better than original. The old doors had 2-3 1/2" ball cap hinges that were allowing the doors to sag. After reconstructing all new jambs cut to match original design we installed 3-4" ball cap hinges. Once completed we should be good for another 100 + years

Seems like Nice Hinge - Buy your own screws

Hinge seems like decent quality, though more color variation than I would expect. Here's the thing: Don't even think about using the screws that come with it. Heads too small, screws too short, and look like flimsy "steel".

Do not have ball bearings as referenced.

There are two metal pieces so it “looks” like a ball-bearing hinge. Please see picture-There is no place for for the bearings (balls). One piece rotates, the other has a protrusion and does not move. Still, I am unable to understand how/why this is represented as a ball bearing hinge.

nice hinges, but kind of pricey

I put these on my front door to replace the original 20-year-old brass hinges as part of an overall door hardware update in my home. They fit perfectly, look nice, and are heavy-duty enough to support a solid door.... but they are pretty expensive. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be much choice of hinges in bronze finish that matched the particular mortise shape and hole pattern of my old brass ones.
