Good quality. Good grip.

I bought two because I got one at a store and liked the way it worked. Good grip, good quality I'm picky on kitchen tools. I have nerve damage in my hand so it's nice these are effective. Not too much resistance,but handles food with a good grip. Durable.

Sorry Norpro 1969 Only 2 Stars! Low quality and build

Sorry Norpro 1969 Only 2 Stars. Ordered these and the Norpro 1970 tongs. If you are in need of disposable $10 tongs, then certainly purchase these. Very cheaply made. Thin metal locking mech and spring made of tin or something bendable. Rivet points low quality. Tong black ends extremely thin material and only held in place by small pin. All Norpro tongs purchased to date have same build. Tong ends wobble and loose on all models purchased and received. Stainless material also very thin and pliable. Like I said, if you need a temp pair of tongs, then these would be a good buy for 10 bucks. If you want something that is made to last, I recommend passing on any Norpro tong products. Same with the OXO brand of tongs. Have some from a year ago and even OXO is now using cheap plastic rather than stainless for the locking mechanism. Back to these 1969 & 1970 models, the rubber which goes down sides of tongs, do not have finger indents and are thin in material. Also rubber does not run down where my fingers would naturally grab the tongs. Photo makes product look better than actual product design. Sorry Norpro, but your 14" 12" & 9" stainless tongs all going back!

DANGEROUS, DON'T BUY

This seemed like a fine product until today at lunch when I found a tack in my pasta. It took awhile but eventually we found that it had fallen out of these tongs. There was one more missing in addition to the one I found, so hopefully I didn't eat that one. DO NOT BUY THIS, IT COULD SEND YOU TO THE HOSPITAL OR WORSE. I've emailed Norpro recommending a recall. Photos should be attached to this product to illustrate the issue.

Nail in the salad, from tongs

I bought these tongs and thought they were great until my husband found a small very sharp nail on his plate from these tongs! THEY SHOULD BE RECALLED, if you want to live dangerously buy these!
