Great for Nerf beginners!

Pros: My 3 year old finally has a Nerf toy that be can operate solely. He’s enjoyed this toy a few times. The shield is soft foam, yet sturdy. Cons: Expensive for what it does. You have to “fling” it a certain way to direct it. My 3 y/o is somehow better at this than I am, because I cannot aim it. This has been a bit disheartening and caused my son not to use it as much as he would if it were a tad easier. I understand this is not technically for a 3 year old, but why would a grown woman have such trouble? Overall it’s a fun toy and I appreciate the simplicity it has over most Nerf products.

Very cool

It took my kids a bit to figure out how to make it go and they still struggle with shooting out every time. They just kind of swing it around until it goes. Even I have trouble getting it to go, but when it does l, it's so cool

Frustrating

My son found this toy frustrating. He could never quite get the shield to launch as intended, and resorted to just using his hands to throw the shield around like a frisbee. The shield is a flimsy foam which may be part of the problem. Definitely not our favorite NERF or Marvel toy.

Arrived used, VERY used- bought new during lightning sale

I was super cranky when we opened the box to a toy crappily wrapped in holey tissue paper. The toy itself was covered in scratches, the shield had scratches, dents, and small chips around the edges. I let my son try it, and he thought it was fun, but a 6 year old boy has a short attention span and he was done shortly. Fun toy, giftable, probably well made.

Fun

My 5 year old has had this permanently attached to him arm since he got it. The disk is foam (a little thin in my opinion) but so far has held up pretty well, and he's used it inside the house and in the back yard. Sometimes it seems like the mechanics stick, but you have to be doing the "swinging" motion at the same time you hit the release button. Overall I would say it's a good purchase.

Marvel's "Cap" approval

This was a birthday gift for my daughter. She loved it! It works well and "throws" the shield a nice distance. Fun play for all those Captain America fans!
