brought my old lawn chief back to life

was cutting the yard last weekend when I stopped to get a beer and upon turning the key to resume all I got was a click (or tick) whatever you call it, its bad news. had to bust out the push mower, wow that thing requires some effort, all the more motivation to start ordering some parts. I also ordered a new briggs starter motor part number 593934 , asin B01ARITKFU. perfect match of both products to the original. double check your model number engine before ordering. cleaned up the cables with a wire brush and found the bolt holding the battery's ground cable to frame mount was stripped so couldn't hold it tight. moved that cable to a different mounting bolt snugged it down and she fired right up so fast its literally like a new mower, amazing! next up is some new deck pulley bearings since all the belts got replaced last year.

Fixed no crank no start issue LT1050

This was an exact replacement for the original one on our 2007 Cub Cadet LT1050 mower. It showed good voltage at battery and recently had the original starter replaced so we knew that was good. The starter solenoids commonly fail especially if left out in the weather. The bolts holding the old one were seized so this one was mounted nearby on the frame and works fine with the wires transferred to it. It has been installed and working perfect for months now.

Exact replacement for my Huskee 4200. Be aware DIYers, the headlights on a Huskee do not light up unless the engine is running, in spite of what the wiring diagram may indicate. I thought I had a bigger problem (like rodents chewing on the wires) as the lights wouldn't come on when the switch is on. Not so. Just means I wasted a lot of time looking for a non-existent problem. The new solenoid fixed everything (except the very loud muffler... that's next.)

Part did not last the season. With the mower being used once a week froim April to Oct this part shoudl not be dead already. I have been having issues starting my mower and thought I had a bad starter. Replaced that and still did not start, so I charged the battery because it had a dead battery symptom. Only when I charged or jumped that bettery would the tracotr start, so I replaced the battery and still had the same issue. Swapped this part for another one purchased locally and it starts everytiume now. I will not buy these off Amazon again. Apparently they are nto the Grade A quality pieces hence the lower price as well. No option to return or warranty so I hope you all read this so you dont have the same headache I have fo rthe past 3 months. Maybe MTD will do the right thing also, but considering 2020 and what it has been, I doubt it.

Worked perfect

I used this on my 2011 MTD Lawn Machine 38 inch riding mower. It comes with an extra ground cord that is necessary for most mowers in order to make it work. Watch a Youtube video if you're not sure. It just needs to ground the solenoid. My mower came with wire for both posts so I didn't nee the extra wire. Mine was a bit of a pain to install but no fault of the manufacturer. It was a design issue on the part of MTD. They must have taken lessons from Ford engineering. :-P If it gets me a couple of years then were good!
