Good value.

Replaced a Grohe (expensive, low height) kitchen faucet that developed a crack and leak on the faucet neck with this. The Grohe faucet pivoted directly on the countertop material and eventually became harder to pivot side to side. Grohe must have seen their mistake and now offer the faucet with a base plate to swivel on. Installation of this Moen faucet was a breeze, built in water supply hoses were long enough to reach supply valves, mounting system was simple and easy to install, but very sturdy. Finish seems to be top rate, photos do not do justice to actual appearance. Aerator might be hard to remove to flush water lines after install due to smooth slick finish, just use a rubberized jar cover remover and it will come off easily. Will see how durable this unit is.

Solid, good looking Moen one handle faucet

I purchased the Moen single handed faucet under duress as I had to get it installed right away. Fortunately, this is a great faucet, sturdy and very easy to intall. I think it will provide many years of use and would recommend highly.

Simple, Quality Faucet

Don't cheap out and buy no-name faucets. This one is simple, sturdy, and will fit a dishwasher adapter (for a portable dishwasher). There's a model with a separate sprayer so be sure to order that one up front if you need it; otherwise, this is just the one hole single stack faucet. If I were a landlord, I'd have one of these in every rental unit.

Very nice product. Works perfect. Make sure to check the hole in your sink before ordering. I had to make the hole in my sink .125 inches bigger. If you attempt this sink modification make sure you clamp the sink down so it is very solid. Then go after it very carefully. I used a high speed electric hand grinder with a cone shaped mounted grinding wheel. It took 10 minutes to open up the hole. Now it looks and functions just like it did when new. The one I replaced lasted 30 years. I like Moen.

Great faucet, great mounting system.

This Moen Chateau 7423 single-hole mount is an excellent faucet, and a great price. It's described as a low-arc, but it has plenty of arc for our needs. Probably the best thing about it is the mounting hardware underneath. It's a big metal shank with threads on it. Then there's a big nut with three screws in it. The big nut just goes on somewhat loosely with a 1/4 inch gap, and then it's the three screws that you tighten to apply clamping force. This is a brilliant design which applies an even clamping force to the entire circumference. Ours is mounted nice and tight, which is especially important in a single-hole mounting situation. On the top-side, the faucet sits in a chrome escutcheon. The escutcheon is also impressive since it's literally a heavy, solid piece of metal... not hollowed out, and not plastic. This Moen Chateau was much better than a similarly priced Delta that we tried to install. The Delta Classic 101-DST had an inferior mounting system that clamped unevenly and would not stay tight.

Perfect Replacement for my Motorhome's 1998 Leaky Faucet

HUGE improvement over former model, that believe it or not was ORIGINAL to my 1998 Motorhome! I was forced to replace faucet when original Moen sprung a leak and was spraying water on the wall. Not good. Had to JUMP through hoops-- three unsuccessful trips to Home Depot. Make SURE they don't sell you a "3-Hole" model when your RV takes "1-Hole"! Anyway, it was a bit of trouble because mine was so old. Finally took it to an old-time Mom & Pop Plumbing store in San Antonio that's been in business for 63 YEARS-- the gentleman there knew exactly what it was. He matched my old clunker to the closest one now available-- the #7423 Chateau. Perfect fit. Photos show old unit and new one. Apologies photos wound up sideways. You get the idea.

So easy to install looks great. But it is limiting the flow that we had with the other tap.

Quality product recommended by an experienced plumber

I used it as a replacement on our kitchen sink. When my plumber saw that he was to install a Moen product he was pleased. I had a plumber to install the faucet because we installed a new countertop so I had him change the copper water lines to Pex lines and upgrade the plumbing under the sink. This meant too many parts for me to locate in a hardware store. If it had meant changing just the faucet I could have easily done it myself.
