Nice kit that filled the requirement, a bit pricey though

I had an older Moen that required the gigantic hole so this was really the only option for me after the old one broke. It was pretty simple to install although I discovered that the pipe for the faucet is just a degree or two crooked which causes the faucet to not sit flush against the pipe. Not the fault of the kit though, just an added frustration of not having any other options. Overall the parts were solid and quite shiny. My removal of a star is for the price which I feel is too high compared to other higher end faucets. It's almost like you get punished for having to replace an old faucet.

Moenique bath tub faucet replacement. Fits well, expensive

Product is a good replacement for the older style Moen Moenique bath tub/shower faucet. Was easy to install. With that said, it's very expensive for what it is. It is a replacement plate, 4 screws and a tub spout. $65 would seem to be a fair price. Moen website has a list price of $225. Amazon was $162. But without this item being available would have had to replace the entire shower body so it was worth it to me.

Greeat replacement for the older style Moenique

This was a lot easier to install than I had thought. The only issue was with the surface mounting, but I think that mostly fell on how the older model was installed. As for function, its great and looks beautiful. Price is little high, but cheaper than totally redesigning the whole bathroom and tiles.

Cheap Chinese Plastic Garbage

This product is an absolute slap in the face to the customer. Overpriced considering it's a simple faceplate and tub spout, but it's literally your only option besides a full shower tile replacement. Like multiple other reviewers, I've found the spout does not fit flush with the faceplate. The shiny chrome finish really emphasizes the embarrassingly bad fit. Hope it was worth it, Moen. I will never spend another dollar on your products.

Esential replacement for an old Moen Moenique tub spout / diverter

Moen's Moenique combination tub water spout / diverter (the diverter is the knob that controls directing water to your showerhead or to your tub spout) was highly popular in its day. But years have passed and replacement may be needed ... This particular kit appears to be the best, and perhaps only, replacement part. The cover plate is the same size and shape as the old Moenique part with a quite large, rectangular back plate. Accordingly, it will cover any untiled area -- a significant advantage since you are unlikely to find any other large rectangular back plate(round and/or smaller back plates are on the new equipment market). Installation was a snap. The replacement part looks great and operates perfectly. The price here is terrific. Shipping was excellent and the item arrived even earlier than projected. A tracking number was provided by the seller. Highly satisfied!

Make sure tub spout assembly locking collar comes from factory in a U position.

Tub spout assembly, 2 things to look for to avoid problems!!! 1) the spout locking collar must be able to be pushed up in place by set screw, so it must be in U position. 2) there is a black O ring in the spout assembly; when sliding in the spout, push spout into the pipe and if you feel resistance, slightly press downward and push in. (Makes life easier) We had an issue with all of these things, but now we know. Hope this helps replace your Moenique soap dish spout with its modern replacement part.

Just what I needed

Bought a house that had a Moenique shower fixture that was leaking. After researching the net I found this and a moen 1225 replacement cartridge is what I need to fix me problem. This will at least tie me over till it's time to remodel the bathroom. The cartridge comes pre-greased but a little extra silicone lubricant never hurts.
