Pretty good toy but not as popular as I thought it would be

This is exactly what I wanted for our toddler. He loves to sing. He will play with this once in a while but actually less engaging than a stick (good for singing, guitar, sword, ect). I suspect our toddler really wants it amplified like a real microphone, which has never used, but still some how knows this is different. I don't regret the purchase. Hopefully the lil guy will learn to appreciate it more as he gets a little older.

GREAT! and NO BATTERIES NEEDED

My 2 1/2 year old grandson loves this. It does not have batteries, which is great and the sound is echoed and amplified.

14 month old loves it!

I love all Hape toys because of their quality. I have had some for 30 years which I now use for the grand kids! This is a great toy which is perfect for the 14 month old in my life. Developmentally he is at the age where he is learning language and enjoys hearing his voice echo back to him. It encourages more talking! And it’s also fun for adults to use playing with the kids!

Not as loud as my childhood one

I remember having something similar like this when I was a kid and I loved mine ! My toddler is into singing and microphones right now so I figured I’d start off with a kid friendly one rather a real one for now lol . He was super excited when I took it out of the box but I noticed when he talks into it , it doesn’t even echo like that :/ it does a little faint but I mean it’s not as strong as the one I grew up with in my opinion . Still a cool toy and he really does play with it here and there (:

Just like one my daughter had years ago, my boy loves to sing into it, well babble I guess. I’ve thrown a few ballads at it myself, handled my pure vocal fury, along with the mullet I ordered from a different seller. Seems durable, has been tossed around, and even survived my mic drop. Bought for my ten month old. We love it! Safe, and doesn’t require assembling or batteries. Only thing is it’s a lot bigger than expected.

EXACTLY what I was looking for

My adorable, wonderful almost 6-year old loves to sing. I love to hear it, most of the time. She has been begging for a microphone or karaoke machine but my husband and I agree having her amplified is not necessarily our ideal. We also live in a townhouse where I'm sure our neighbors would not really appreciate hearing her. This was a GREAT compromise - she can sing and hear her voice amplified a little bit by the echo feature, but it won't really bother anyone in the next room. I got on Amazon looking for a legit fake microphone (like for a costume) to just play pretend with, and found this one from Hape. We have/had many items from this company in the past and they have held up well and I appreciate their philosophy. Looking forward to many serenades from my kid without needing earplugs LOL

Great idea, but in my opinion not loud enough.

Great idea unfortunately slightly disappointing because the echo sound that you get back it’s not very loud. But it kept the granddaughter happy and she found a new use for the microphone, as a truncheon a few times.

Wish it was louder for the price

Not bad, wish it were louder for the price, and you didn't have to be so close to it. Would be more okay with it if it were priced accurately. Much better things I could buy for 20$ CAD

Great fun

We bought one of theses a while ago and used it for holidays when the kids were little. However, we found that we were still using it years later at family gatherings, holidays and parties. Rules are simple. If you want to say anything at the dinner table you need to speak into the echo mike. This is a replacement for our older model. Disclaimer - No children were involved in the purchase of this item!
