A great value for the money...

I saw the Amazon Essentials athletic wear show up in the targeted ads when I was browsing the brands I normally shop. The price differential was high enough that I figured I should at least read the reviews. After doing that I figured I should at least give the shirts a chance. The garment quality seems high, and at least the equal of what I normally get. The blue is a little bright for my taste, but it's not offensive (in my opinion). The good experience with this purchase led me to buy some Amazon Essentials shorts, too.

fabric pulls very easily

Second time I bought these. The color selection was poor and the fabric is different. Fabric pulls very easily, they were pretty much after wearing twice.

Stinky fabric

Fits as size charts advertise. I bought 2 (white & blue). Washed the shirts with Tide liquid detergent prior to wearing them & dried in dryer on low heat (as directed). 10 minutes after I put the blue shit on, as I’m driving to the gym, I start smelling ‘chemicals & wet dog’ odor coming off the collar area of the shirt. We DON’T own pets. As I worked out the smell got worse & I had to leave the gym to change into the after-gym T-shirt I had in my gym bag. Thinking this blue shirt may have been a fluke, I put the white shirt on the next day. SAME CHEMICAL-DOG odor after my body heat warmed it up for 5-10 minutes!! I washed them again as directed & same terrible smell. Thinking that it might be my body’s chemistry affecting the synthetic fabric, I gave a clean one today my friend & did not tell him about the smell I was getting. He called me the next day and told me the shirt smelled funny after he wore it around the house for 10-20 min. He gave it back and I threw the shirts away. I am not happy with these shirts and if you have a sensitive nose or palate, DONT BUY THESE!!

length is good, and they are roomy on him

Yes these fit my very tall slim teen well. I got medium for him. He is 6’4” and 160 lbs. length is good, and they are roomy on him. He is really slim though so if someone is thicker they will still work. They haven’t shrunk so far, and given the price and the fact that they are “knock about “ tops, we take no care in yanking them from the dryer, still they are still going. Good buy!

Basic, very reasonably priced shirt.

I rated these 5 stars due to the price. These are a classic example of getting what you pay for. You don't get much for 8 bucks, and these fit the bill. I doubt if they will last more than a year, or two which is fine. I just wanted something basic to get me through our lovely humid summer days, and these fit the bill. They are comfortable, and due a good job of hiding perspiration while doing yard work, biking, etc. I wish Amazon would offer them in separate packages, so you weren't forced to pair up certain colors that they choose.

Still Going Strong

I bought these in the fall of 2018 and they're doing fine. I see reviews of people saying they don't last long but makes me wonder what are they doing with their clothes. I wear these almost everyday and wash almost daily and they still look brand new. I wear these as undershirts/A-Shirts/w!fe beaters for the warmer months under my shirts when I need the sleeveless option for maximizing coolness and yet need the quick drying aspect of the fabric it is made of. I usually get the Wal-mart versions but they're so expensive at times and less and less sold at stores compared to the ones with sleeves. When I bought these they sold as cheap as $14 CDN for the pack so keep an eye out for the sales if you're on Amazon Prime. I highly recommend them but if you're EXTREMELY rough on your clothes or how you wash them, it may be an issue.

Great shirts. KEEP AWAY FROM VELCRO.

Awesome shirts. Very comfortable and fit well. 6'2 190 med is perfect for me. KEEP FAR AWAY FROM VELCRO. Ruined one of the shirts because I threw in some gloves with the wash. Edit: So after having them for quite a long time now I'm dropping the rating. The material is comfortable but very fragile and doesn't last the longest.

Nice Product

Needed a few cut off t-shirts for my trip in two weeks to Cozumel. These cannot be found where I am due to the snow and retail outlets do not carry these summer items during winter. I wanted to by a few, but bought one set to see the fit. I am 5'-9" and the large is perfect as is the material. I was worried as I have bought shirts made in China before and a lesson learned is a large to them is a really a medium. I recieved my purchase yesterday, fits perfect, have bought three more sets, with a two day shipping, its perfect.

Very comfortable, fit is as advertised

The shirts are very comfortable. I bought an XL because of commentary on them fitting a size smaller. That is NOT the case. I am keeping them because I like the fit but probably could have gotten away with a L.

Tight at neck

It fit great and the fabric is really nice. My only complaint is that I didn't notice/realize that the neck doesn't go down towards the chest. It's a tight fit at the neck which is odd.
