Very thick socks

Very thick - Iv'e only seen seen one pair of hunting socks that were thicker. They're pretty soft. A little tight on the legs to me. Overall well made/ good value.

Nice, thick socks.

These socks are very warm and cushy. They are also true boot socks, which a lot of socks labeled "boot socks" aren't, meaning the cushioning extends up the full length of the socks. You can wear them under tall boots and they will protect your calves from chafing. Very nice.

I wear a size 7.5 in women's which I guess is a 5.5 in men's, so I ordered the 9-11 size in these. I ordered men's socks so I could wear a pair of socks underneath (since wool things sometimes make me itch). The socks were not too baggy on my feet since I was wearing the other pair underneath, and I was able to wear my size 8 rainboots with them just fine. And they're really not too scratchy either. I just wore my regular rainboots with the regular socks and these wool socks out in the snow and my feet didn't get cold at all. I was out walking through snow and ice for at least an hour at weather just below freezing and my toes stayed warm. I tend to wear cotton socks and Uggs around the house in the winter because my feet and ankles get cold easily so I was pleased with this product.
