Convenience on a Steel Toe, but Lacking Durability
After I started overnights at a warehouse job in '21, I quickly found myself aching by the end of each shift and in need of a new shoe that would offer proper support for 8 hours of freight hauling across concrete floors. At that time, I found this slip-on offering by Skechers at a local retailer. These met all my sizing and comfort requirements, provided good traction, and offered a steel toe that I often forcefully and inadvertently banged into palettes with no consequence; that steel toe also gave me the ability to easily handle heavy boxes by wedging my shoe underneath a bottom edge to give myself 3 points of contact for lifting. These shoes did just the trick I needed, and lasted me the duration of the job, though were showing signs of wear by the end (about 4 months). A year or so later, and pleased by my prior experience, I decided to get a new pair to aid my job prospects, and to my chagrin, could not find any at local retailers, including a dedicated Skechers outlet. A search on the Skechers website at the time also turned up empty. I wound up finding the exact same model here on amazon, and ordered another pair a half-size down to accommodate some lost weight as well as more casual wear, as I had chosen a deliberately oversized pair before in order to allow room for two pairs of socks (and thus, extra cushion). As the oversized pair had worn out, the amount of slack in them had gotten to be problematic even with extra socks on, giving uncertain purchase on the floor and developing a proclivity for ankle rolling. This new pair was more snug, though definitely not uncomfortably so, and offered better stability, but began to wear out faster than the ones I owned prior. Within probably two months, the stitching around the exterior of the toe cap began to rip out, making them much less useful during a round of job interviews I had coming up, and which had not happened to the older pair even after being used on the job and later beat up at home doing yard work. Like the old pair, these new ones also demonstrated a tendency to roll the ankle, as I found using them outside in uneven terrain. I suspect these issues I encountered contributed to their scarcity at the retailers in town, and I will not likely be getting another pair of them for the cost and low lifespan unfortunately. While they do offer a good deal of convenience and job-site versatility for a slip-on shoe, I think the slip-on design's elasticity and lack of ankle support works against other features of the design, such as the high-traction tread and front-heaviness of the steel toe; while lighter than a typical boot, these shoes tend to put their weight on the top of your foot instead of anchoring to the leg, which can sometimes start to wear on the ligaments after a long fatigued day. To summarize, you'll get a lot of comfort out of these shoes for the first couple months probably, but they'll be in line for replacement soon after, and won't be able to substitute for a full-on steel-toed boot or even lace-up shoe in terms of ruggedness and stability.

Decent shoe for the $$
These are extremely comfortable. I work 10-12 hr shifts on concrete. I am glad I read the reviews and followed others advice and ordered a size larger. Doing so they fit very nice and think if had gone with my regular size would have been uncomfortable. I'm a big guy (6', 315lbs) and these help my feet feel so much better by the end of the day. The leather is somewhat stiff and a little uncomfortable the first few days but had loosened up and felt good by week two. If I purchase another pair later down the road, I would probably wear around the house a couple hours a day for a week or two before wearing for a full day at work just to help the leather to loosen. I've only worn them for two months since purchasing but they appear to be holding up well without any other issues. Will revisit and update in a couple more months if need to.

Heel comfort is non-existent
The worst part of these boots is the non-existent heel comfort. It feels as I'd there is no padding, so my heels are on hard rubber. I stand on concrete sometimes most of the day. My heels hurt after taking off the boots and my heels hurt this next morning after sleeping whule writing this. The rest of these boots are great though. Bridge and toe comfort is there. They fit tight to my feet and don't slide off, though I normally wear two pairs of socks to make sure of a tight fit. That's what I've been doing woth various slip-on footwear anyways. If you get some heel support, these boots are amazing. Without though, they aren't all that great. I'll be shopping for some heel support here shortly.

Very comfortable
They are on the smaller size, best to go a size up for comfort

Excellent
I rate my shoes on a 12 hr shift. If I can last a couple hrs of breaking in per day I am happy. These slip on safety toes are on their 3rd straight 12 hr shift without switching shoes. Unheard of....I am walking the entire time and doing close to ten miles. So happy I am ordering another pair right now. Great for splitting wood and kettle ball workouts.

Excellent product but remember steel doesn't stretch
I love these shoes; they are the best steel toed shoes I've owned. They're comfortable, easy to get in and out of and perfect for the office. One word of caution - if you are between 2 sizes, get the larger size. I originally purchased these in a size 10.5, which is my normal size. They fit fine for the first week, but the longer I wore them the more my feet were driven forward into the toe of the shoe. This caused my toes to push into the steel toe as I walked, and it didn't feel good at all. At that point it occurred to me that steel doesn't stretch! I figured that my normal size 10.5 shoes stretch to fit my feet over time. I then purchased a size 11, and they've felt fine after wearing them for over 2 weeks. I just wish these were made in the USA, but other than that I have no complaints.

Overall good, but…
the sole insert could be a little better. The memory foam is good at first but flattens out after a while making the shoe less comfortable as it ages.

A cute idea, not a good product.
To start and give some context, I do mostly rennovations and installations for Lowe’s, some private work but never anything too heavy duty, I still use 12v tools usually. I take the shoes on and off a lot going into customers homes out of respect hence shopping for slip on shoes, now my thoughts. The shoes start off as extremely comfortable, slightly loose fitting and seemingly durable, but here I am only 4 months later, the built in memory foam soles have started ripping out from the bottom, slipping them on and off causes friction and eventually I just took parts of the soles out with my feet. the rubber on the bottoms is decent but I’ve had a nail come up through the boot twice, the heel end of the shoe got completely obliterated despite efforts to be nice to it, it uses a cheap brittle plastic that ends up breaking and cutting its way out until you find you’re stepping on plastic chips. unfortunately I can’t recommend these shoes to anyone who does work or needs a composite or steel toe, just spend a bit more on real boots, these end up feeling as flimsy as slippers in no time.

Started breaking up after 4 weeks
Lovely looking and comfortable slip on work shoe. However 4 weeks after purchase and with light day use (walking around a warehouse), these started to break up. The hard casing around the heel starts to break up on the inside of the shoe. Five months after purchase and there is very little of the structure left in the heel, with shards of composite material fragmenting daily. Have been impaled in the foot a few times by these now. Such a shame. I'd steer clear of these and put your well earned money into something else.

Good Materials and Comfy Fit
I wear these for work and the first week they fit a bit tight but after breaking them in the fit became MUCH more comfortable. Lightweight makes a difference when you're on your feet all day. I recommend

Third time I've bought these
This is my third pair working highrise condo construction. I require safety shoes on site but have to remove them frequently during the day to enter apartments. These slip ons are perfect for the task and comfortable to wear. Only issue I have is that the green safety tag has been dropped so they are no longer compliant on a construction site. My last two pairs had the green triangle tag. Seems like the same shoe. I guess Sketchers doesn't want to pay for the certification.
