great value, great fit

This was my first purchase of shoes via the Internet. Couldn’t be happier. The shoes are very high quality (made in Vietnam?). They fit perfectly. These are not sneakers. As described, these are hiking shoes. I think of them as walking shoes so I’m wearing them everywhere. They’re waterproof, which is important for me, and the return policy seemed very reasonable in case something wasn’t correct. Very pleased.

A good shoe

I've bought 8 1/2 XW Merrills for at least 15 years. I generally rotate 3 pair and when I retire a pair I buy new from REI or Amazon. This shoe is fine, but I think I'll go back to Merrills. The feel is different.

Seems like a boat shape rather than shoe shape.

The shoes look BIG and boxy for a size 13- 5e width. Yet they fit like a 4e. I bought Shoe Stretchers on Amazon and the now fit fine. They still look like boats. But, they are supposedly waterproof, so, time will tell if they really are boats.

Great but too narrow

They were great quality. Order Propel prior and they were a great fit. These said they were extra extra wide. They were not. Had to return them or it would have been 5 stars

Good wide with shoes, but run small

I needed to go up half a size from what I normally wear, but once I sized them correctly they've worked great. Super comfortable extra wide hiking shoes that offer good traction on slippery surfaces

I have a wide foot this shoe fit, so far.

The shoe has plenty of room in the foot bed. I do not know around the ankle though. I only tried them on and have not walked in them. Nice looking shoe. Removable in sole when it wears out. It could be replaced. Nice and cushioned inside the shoe. The sole on the out side is nice and firm and supportive just like I like it. We get about 60 to 70" of rain a year. With due on the grass every morning. So you better have waterproof shoes. Or enjoy wet feet.

First pair of hiking shoes. Love these. Used for walking. Supportive. Feet stay dry.

Too narrow

I bought an extra wide (4E) size but it was still too narrow in the toe box for me. I find these uncomfortable to wear for a long period. They look ok and feel like they would be durable otherwise.

Used on 5/10km local hikes - purchased Vasque shoes/boots in the past but find these Propert just as comfortable.
