Best Boots Ever

Third pair I have bought for my husband. He only wants this boot!!! They are comfortable, long wearing and well worth the cost! I'll buy them again. I also buy this boot in women's size for myself.

Good boot for the price.

I normally purchase Thorogood , Chippewa and other U.S. made boots for daily wear outside and while walking and hiking. Sadly, there is no such thing as a 90 dollar pair of American made boots. I have several hammer toes on each foot and need a wide toe box. I was looking for a combination walking-hiking-general wear boot that's lightweight and requires no break-in. I have been wearing these boots daily for 9 months and still like them. They were comfortable out of the box. I oiled them up well with pure Neatsfoot oil and right away took them on a 7 mile hike that had good ups and downs and several creek crossings. They performed well. As far as traction is concerned they are a compromise at best. Great care is needed on wet or loose slopes and rocks. On the other hand, the tread is designed to be fairly even to slip in and out of a saddle stirrup easily. Most boots suitable for hiking with heavy-lugged Vibram soles would be dangerous to wear while riding a horse. Additionally, I can come in from the pasture without having to take them off or do a stomping and scraping jig to avoid bringing a lot of the pasture into the house with me. The insoles could be better. They basically failed after 6 months and were not providing support. I went into a Red Wing store and put a pair of custom insoles in them that made them far better than when they were new. All in all these are a decent boot for the price. Very comfortable. In the summer I often wear Chaco sandals, but so far I've not felt compelled to get out of my boots in a hurry. I will more than likely order another pair this summer, since just the other day I spilled about a cup and half of turquoise paint on my left foot. The old pair I'll expect to last as beaters for quite a while longer... I put this review away for a few months and now I'll finish it. It's about two weeks to the day when I ordered these boots in July of '19. They have literally been worn all day, every day. Today I noticed they are failing at the toe guard. Separation is happening on the big toe side of each boot where the rubber toe guard meets the sole. They are now officially beaters and I'm about to order another pair. The only complaint I'd have about these boots - other than the fact they aren't made in the U.S. - is the insoles. They're crap. Virtually no support after about 4 months of daily wear and weekend hiking. I solved that issue by going into a Red Wing store and getting a pair of their insoles. Those insoles are still working great and will go into my new boots as soon as they get here. Here's how I look at it, 90 for the boots and 50 for the insoles is 140 dollars, divided by 365 works out to about 38 cents a day for trouble free, comfortable all purpose boots.

Excellent light to heavy work boot

all most exact to the day of purchase,, it was! my go to pair of work boot in the yard or at work, all kinds or weather an wet ground really enjoyed the comfort of these Ariat Lace Up Mens work boot, very light to wear, all day comfort .. TRY ONE YOU' WILL LOVE THEM .. Ty Amazon..... ill be ordering soon....

Keep your feet dry and they're comfortable

Wasn't sure what to expect when buying these is I usually where the other Style ariats. But these are really comfortable walking 10 - 12 miles a day and then there's no problem. I would definitely recommend these

Have always worn a D width. In reading other reviews of this shoe . The EE width is what was considered in the past to be D width. Glad I Went with the advice given. Shoe fits like a D width. All of the Ariat footwear I have purchased has been excellent in spite of where it is made. So far this shoe has met my expectations.Walked in wet grass water went through very quick. Fair weather shoe.

Comfort all day

I recently ordered my fourth pair. I work in these hikers because they are extremely comfortable and feet my feet perfectly. If there is an Achilles heel (pun intended) it is that they are a bit “tender” when it comes to hard work in the construction industry! They wear out rather quickly. I won’t complain because at 3 times the price, the rugged “workbook” types don’t last more than 50% longer and they are never nearly as comfortable! It all comes down to comfort and best bang for my buck!

fits large

I always order an 8 wide. these sure are too big. I have put in an insert but my foot still slides around. kind of disheartening

These are in men's sizes, not ladies'.

It is a lovely boot! I ordered it as a 10 2E. But I received a man's 10 2E. It was much too big. It even had a tag on it, saying it was a man's boot. But was shown as a ladies' boot when looking at it on the Amazon site. Sadly I returned them.

Great, but not for smooth wet surfaces.

Bought the EE size for my wife feet. Very well made and very comfortable, even on the first day of use. Deducted one star because I found them slippery on smooth wet surfaces. Did not feel safe on wet tiles. However, the fit was so good I bought a second pair for future use.

Great boots!

I ordered the size 8 wide for my daughter and she loves them. We ride long distances (endurance) and also have to run beside our horses at times and she has found these boots comfy for both activities.
