Well-made Water Repellant Coat

During the rainy days of Spring and Summer I find my trench coat-style raincoat is way too warm, so I was looking for something that would keep me dry in warmer weather but not be uncomfortable. This coat, so far, seems to do that. On a cool Spring day, it is roomy enough to layer up with a sweater to actually make it as warm as a much heavier coat. One thing I really like is that it has buttons instead of a zipper. That means that on a warm day, there is more circulation than a zippered coat can provide. One thing I am not nuts about is the sage green color. While this is billed as a man's coat and fits like one, the sage green color does look more like what one would expect in a women's line of clothing. It's fine looking, but I would have preferred a darker shade of green. Bottom line on this item is: A well-made basic coat that does what it promises to do: Keeps one dry in rainy weather.

Watch the size

This coat's water-repellent design is one of its most notable qualities. It offers protection against water while still seeming fashionable and professional, making it ideal for anybody who lives in a location with often raining or other rainy weather. The coat feels solid and well-crafted and is comprised of high-quality materials. However, the fact that the size is larger than recommended raises a possible problem with this coat. I generally wear a medium, so I purchased that. However, the coat was more roomier than I had imagined. If you want a looser fit, this won't necessarily be an issue, but if you're seeking for a more fitting coat, you should be aware of it.

Impressed by Amazon!

This is a really nice coat! I'm genuinely impressed with Amazon's new "Aware" line. This feels like great quality, it looks really nice, and it is genuinely water-repellent. I will say it fits maybe just a little big - coats are often difficult, you never know if you should size up or get your regular size. I typically wear a Medium or a Large and I grabbed a Medium and it actually fits great with a little extra room. Lastly, I will warn that, given what this is made out of, it will come super wrinkled so you'll need to spend some time ironing it at a really low heat.

A little bit more snug that I'd love, but does the job well

If you are looking for a water repellant coat this is going to be a great addition to your closet. I love how the water just glides off the jacket and does not absorb into the material. After taking the coat of you can just shake the water off like you do with your umbrella and hang it up to dry. I'm about 5'6" and the coat goes to my mid thigh giving me a more longer trench coat look. I love how the coat has 2 pockets as well and the buttons are covered by a flat making the coat more sleek.

Live in SoCal, who knew I needed one

After the major rainstorms in Southern California this year and the good chance of rain in the future I decided I needed a raincoat. It didnt have to be heavy as weather here is usually pretty mild and a large coat would be to hot. This jacket turned out to be perfect. It is light enough that you can wear it whenever you want and it is water repellant so you can get to where you want to be nice and dry. I am a taller person and this jacket fits as it should. It covers where I need to be covered and keeps me dry. The materials used in the creation of this jacket are solid. The stitching and buttons are well done, the cloth used in the making of this jacket are decent as well. The jacket is 77% cotton and 23% nylon. If you are looking for a solid, well made, light rain jacket check this one out. It is perfect for where I live and if you are looking for one for spring or summer check it out.

Water resistant and cool

The style of this coat is partying and cool. I wondered why this garment didn't have a hood. Then after getting it, I know it's for the sightly cooler days of spring and just enough for frosty days without needing to convert the head. The buttons get hidden with the front . I love it.

I look like I'm wearing my dads clothes

I normal wear 2XL and with items on Amazon they typical runs smaller than normal. This time around though it came in like a 4-5XL. Wearing it makes me look like a little kid wearing my dads clothes. The color is spot on but the sleeves are way to long and length go past my knees.

Something different for me

I made the choice to move away from wearing plain blue jeans to more colored ones this year. As a result, I am able to wear the “business casual” tops/shoes during outings. The weather has been both warmer and cooler. We definitely getting April rain, but our plants/trees started growing in the very mild winter. I dare not do my seasonal rotation of clothing yet. I needed a not too heavy/not too lightweight jacket. I spotted this one and ordered immediately as something different for my wardrobe. The jacket’s weight meets my wants. I can see my myself using it as a “shirt” on occasion. The fit make me feel/look more svelte than my normal dadbod one. The buttons do secure very well! The color is neutral enough for me to wear with my earth-tone clothes.
