Great Piece of Gear!
The HUK Grand Banks rain gear is the outer layer in a very versatile system. When paired correctly with a base and mid-layer, this outer layer storm shell completes the system very well. This rain gear may even be used as a standalone outer layer over a light base layer. As with all of my HUK gear, it is very well made and functions as advertised. I will note that the colors in the pictures are not very accurate. I already knew the jacket was “Iron” color, but anyone looking at the pictures would think it’s black. For outer layer protection I completed this system with the matching HUK Grand Banks Bib. Paired with the HUK refraction line of base layers, this rain gear is very effective and comfortable, wicking moisture away from the skin and blocking the wind and driving rain. Adding a mid-layer like the HUK Superior Hybrid jacket, tournament gloves and reversible beanie, this system comes to life during the colder times of the year as well. In MN, I use this gear year-round in the height of summer and the depth of winter temperatures. A very well made, and highly versatile layering system that you can wear in any condition is the best option over purchasing an “all-in-one” top and bottom. Understanding how to truly layer is critical to pairing the right gear to the current conditions and level of activity. The Grand Banks rain jacket (and bibs) are a great piece of gear for any outdoorsman. 6’3” 255lbs, Athletic build. I’m running the XXL.

Not a functional piece of raingear.
I live in New York Harbor and fish just about every day. I have used the Huk Grand Banks jacket as my primary shell for the past season and a half. It has not worked well, so I'm looking for a replacement. It is pretty good wind defense, but it just isn't waterproof. At least not for any extended duration. I fished for three hours in light rain yesterday and was soaked. The pockets kept my car keys and phone dry, but I was drenched. It functions fine as lightweight windbreaker, which will take some surf spray, but that's about it. My emergency 30-dollar lightweight Frogg Toggs suit has kept me drier.

As Expected
This is a great rain jacket. I bought it oversized for my wife to use. She is often stuck in the rain taking my wheelchair in and out. She stays dry! Especially glad to have bought it oversized so there is plenty of air circulation and the wet doesn’t feel like it’s right on you. It looks great, too.

Wrong Pictures
I’m sure the jacket will be fine, but the picture of the item was incorrect. The black and camo parts were reversed. I would have rather had more black than the camo. The item pictures need to be changed to accurately depict what you are receiving.

Inaccurate Description
I ordered this jacket on 9/13 and received a jacket that was all light blue camouflage on the bottom and a little gray on the top and sleeves. I sent it back and requested a replacement on 9/17 and again received the same jacket. The description of this item is not correct..it is not black on the bottom with a little camouflage on the top. I have received both jackets I ordered in the exact reverse of what is shown and the black depicted in the description is actually gray.

Excellent product
Medium fits as it should, I really like that the shoulders,hood, and sleeves are a grey , description says black but pleasantly surprised and love the Grey. Material feels very good and overall this Jacket will be a great addition to my outdoor lifestyle. Wore it in moderate rain and kept me very dry and warm.

Item not as pictured
Jacket arrived and is the inverse of what the image shows.... the body is camo and shoulders and hood are grey. Jacket is dope otherwise.
