To be used during winter times

Zipper malfunctions

This jacket has an issue with the zipper being hard to pull up. I even ordered a replacement jacket, which was better at first, but now has the same issues. Everything else about the jacket is great, except the zipper.

My husband loved it!

My husband loved everything about this. Of course he doesn’t wear the hood but he will if it gets really really cold. Fit well. Very nice coat.

A Decent Coat for the Price

I have a problem with clothing for my husband. He's paralyzed on one side, and wears a bulky hand and forearm brace on that side. It's very hard to get the arm thru a long sleeve. With last winter's coat, we decided it would be simpler to just use one sleeve, wrapping the coat around his other arm & torso. It was a tight fit, and the zipper was hard to align, so I was in the market for a larger coat. Locally, I can' find large sizes for him to try on, so even though there were warnings that this coat ran big, I got the biggest size. I could have gone one size down, but it's not a tragedy that it's a little big. I don't necessarily have to match up the zipper--there are hook and loop patches which also fasten the coat. It seems like it will be very warm. There are some things I don't like. The material is very stiff--I don't know if it will soften up with washing and continued use. There's no loop at the back of the neck to hang the coat. The neck flap sticks up in front, and I'll probably tack on hook & loop pieces so it won't brush against my husband's face. He has a permanent situation with one arm, but every year there are many, many people who break their arms (or have surgery) and have to wear a cast. I keep hoping someone will manufacture coats with zippers or Velcro strips at the wrist

The Real Deal

I am about 5' 10" and 180 lbs. and I ordered size XL. The sleeves fit perfectly, the length extends to the top of the thighs. For me this will be a winter coat only, it's much too warm for spring or fall use. I've been wearing a very thin down puffer jacket and one shirt under this coat in some very cold and windy weather and no cold or cold wind gets through to me. The one time I put two layers on under it I started to sweat way too much during an hour walk. Getting this warm a winter coat for the $82 I paid for it is just absolutely WOW! I placed the order late on a Thursday evening and FedEx delivered it the following Monday and that was the free shipping option. The packing slip was strange though. It was 'shipped' to me in MA but it was 'sold' to some dry cleaners in IA.??? I gather this might have made any return a headache?
