Excellent jacket. Exactly what I was looking for.

I maintain the High Adventure gear list for some local scout troops. This jacket is now at the top of the list in the light/mid weight jacket category. The fact that it is also water resistant is a huge bonus. I avoided buying it for a year because of the top-ranked negative review that states the arms aren't fleece-lined. What that review fails to mention is that the arms DO HAVE INSULATION. And, in my opinion, it is correct to NOT have fleece in the arms because fleece is not as forgiving for arm movement as the nylon/polyester material that they use. I do agree with the reviews that state the arms are a little short. I usually wear a Medium but I had to go up to a Large to get the right arm size. I'm not sure if they're sizing it that way to allow for multiple sublayers(?) There is elastic at the wrists which prevents the sleeves on the larger size from interfering with my hands. The medium weighs 16.2 ounces and compacts very nicely.

fit makes no sense

i'm 5'6" so I don't need any help looking shorter. This jacket hits around mid thigh, but it does have a zip cord so you can cinch it up and then have it balloon out for no reason so you look obese. Even weirder is that the arms are a tiny bit on the short side. I like the material and color but no way will I be wearing this thing out of the house. Will return it. The size chart provided here is really no help as it doesn't tell you arm length or length of the jacket.

Baggy fit

The medium was huge and baggy on my torso, but the sleeves were barely long enough. In order to be warm at all I had to have my hiking backpack hold it against my body, but then it didn't breath at all and I was sweating in no time. I returned it. Some reviews say the sleeves aren't lined. They seem to have just as thick of insulating material as the rest, there is just a smooth material inside so your other layers sleeves don't catch as much.

Comfortable

I bought this jacket for my boyfriend for work. It fits him perfectly. It’s comfortable and light but also keeps him warm.
