Life-size and Realistic
I was looking for realistic fruits and vegetables, and these really fit the bill on that aspect. However, I was actually surprised to find that they are life-size, or very nearly so. I'm not sure I would have made that choice. Maybe 3/4-size would be more appropriate. It would make them more visually compatable with other pretend items, easier to stor,e and easier for children to pick up, They also take up a lot of room in the child-size hand-baskets I intend to use for pretend shopping games. Because I was purchasing these for a child who's not yet 2, I'm particularly sensitive to this aspect and have decided not to give them to him yet.
