It a jock strap no frills support plain looks

In the past little while I have tried various types and materials of men’s underwear after I decided that I didn’t have to worry about what others thought of my underwear and the tighty whitiey type brief was increasing uncomfortable. I tried this manufacturers regular jock and found as far as support goes its pretty good it reminded me why I didn’t like boxers as it goes back to my early teen years when as a right of passage or so it seemed you would go from white briefs to boxers but because the offered no support or concealment when young hormones cause certain items to pop up it seemed that always happened when the teacher would call on me I’m trying to half stand half crouch to conceal the “problem” so I started to wear a jock under my boxers. I always liked jocks and other minimal underwear but trying to fit in I didn’t wear them until I was a little older. Anyway I found them to be very supportive and of all men’s underwear the jock is the quintessential men’s underwear. What’s not to like about a jock they are minimal they support well. The regular jock was black and I found that it was over all comfortable but the wide waist band had its problems kind of stiff and not really soft against the skin no matter how many times I washed them it was also hard to pull down the front to do my business without completely undoing my jeans. I decided to try this one as well as another brand of a more traditional style ive tried fashion jocks bikini low rise bikini various trunks and boxers. With this jock I like how it supports how it looks but the waist band kind of chafes a little as it doesn’t get soft. Even though I’ll probably continue to wear these and it’s regular wider waistband brother they will be for the gym and not daily wear So these are more supportive and less daily wear I do like the look as I said takes me back when you first started becoming a man from a boy

Nice quality

Swim supporters are often flimsy and wear quickly. These have some kind of rubber woven in which gives it shape and solid feel while still laying flat under tight suit.

It is an alright jock.

Not great, but not awful either. Not as comfortable as I was hoping. It does what it is supposed to, which is support, but other jocks I own support well with far more comfort.

Jock Straps for Daily Wear

Over time, I find that I have generally replaced regular underwear with jock straps. I just purchased six of the McDavid jocks with the one inch waist band that I had often used for weight training. I find myself getting into a lot of outdoor activity even in the winter here in northwest Wisconsin. There is probably more strenuous activity outdoors right now with snow-blowing, roof clearing and a little snow shoeing once the snow is right. I used to wear regular underwear when working outside in the winter, but found I ended up with sweaty and clingy underwear that turned cold and uncomfortable. I always liked wearing jocks and soon I found my regular underwear abandoned! I particularly like jocks with 3 inch waistbands, and I had not had those with the one inch waistbands for some time. I received six of the McDavids swimmer jockstraps yesterday and I can honestly say they are well made and the one I have on right now is comfortable and almost unnoticeable. The pouch is more than adequate. The width of the pouch is perfect and the depth of the pouch supports well without having a lot of material bunching up. Jocks usually fit even better after the first couple of washes and I'm sure these new jocks will supply what I need. Jocks are also very comfortable to sleep in. So, get rid of your regular underwear and start wearing a good jock instead. You will never go back.

Not Bad But Not Great

I made a huge mistake ordering size medium and you can’t return these so I tossed them in the back of the closet and reordered large. Out of the box the jock looks well made. After tying on a pair it was a good fit around the waist and legs. Only problem is the pouch, it only has two-way stretch from top to bottom so if you are larger than average in the junk area, you’re not going to get a great fit and it doesn’t conform well to your anatomy; feeling more confining than supportive. Four-way stretch would be much better so you have the right amount of support, coverage and comfort. I can’t give this a higher rating till I see how it holds up in the washing machine and wear it for a while. I will try to update my review later.

Good for after a vasectomy

My husband says the waistband is a little itchy, but that it's been great for keeping everything snug after his vasectomy

Fit like a glove.

You have to use the companies web site for sizing, they are lazy with there listings. But the web site does have sizing for all the products they sell. I love these because the straps are not really wide. Comfortable right out of the package. The size charts work well, they fit like a glove. I just received them so not sure the durability. How long will they last is the question. I will have to come back in 6 months and post an update.

sides of pouch offer little support

Waste band is cheap and scratchy. Pouch is tight fitting across the front, excess material underneath and sides have little elasticity. Totally uncomfortable in the heat of summer.

Excellent for mild support

Board shorts don't offer any support. This is an excellent product for the modern age to keep everything from hanging out.
