Excellent design, form, and function. Well done Lutron!

SUMMARY: Fully recommend!! Fits perfectly and smoothly dims LEDs without flicker or noise. PROS: Fits perfectly in the junction box, and fits through all the light-switch plates I've used so far. The shape/taper on the slider is very comfortable to use (not square like the other models I've seen) --It doesn't get caught on things, or accidentally moved when flipping switch. The dimming is adjustable, so you can fine tune it to your individual circuits. --Can tune down brighter bulbs for subtler use. Does not make noise or hum. Lights don't flicker or jitter. Dimming is very smooth and linear. CONS: The switch body is big. I would not enjoy mounting two of these side by side in a box. Possible, but super tight. A little pricey, but high quality. USAGE: I have two of these in the house now for exterior and interior lights. It's fantastic to be able to dim your outside lights so that you're not the obnoxious neighbor who ruins the night time. The bulbs I ordered for the outside lights were WAY too bright, but pretty, and this switch tuned them to the right level. And now my kitchen can have a morning/night mode that is easier on groggy eyes. It's also great to be able to adjust the dimmer, as not all lights behave the same. (the 'minimum power' needed to still show some light changes from bulb to bulb, circuit to circuit). I don't like the lights to go off when the dimmer is at the lowest setting, and this adjustment allows me to fine tune the cutoff point of the slider. And boy oh boy it works well! All the way down to just a few lumens coming out of each bulb.

Produced a delay when turning on the lights...

Just had 5 wafer 4" LED lights installed in our kitchen. Awesome lights. However the wife asked if we could dim them when necessary. Purchased this 3 way dimmer and now there is a slight sub-second delay when turning on the lights, when before it was instantaneous. Reading up on it - it appears there is a built-in mechanism(s) called drivers to gradually transform the current to the voltage needed to light up the bulb (based on how dim or bright you have the dimmer-setting), as well as a resistor to keep it at a constant level thereafter. Makes sense and regardless this appears to be a quality product. Thank you.

Some Electricians are Incompetent

I initially gave this dimmer a 1-star review because the electrician who installed it told me the reason my lights were turning on and off in reverse was because Lutron had manufactured the dimmer upside down and that I'd have to buy a new one, which he'd gladly install for me for $100 the next time he was on my side of town. Had the idiot not taken the box with the instructions with him, I could've fixed the problem myself in 20 minutes. When the new dimmer arrived, I read the instructions, turned off the breaker, pulled out the dimmer and realized immediately that the "electrician" had connected one of the wires to the wrong brass screw, so I moved it to the correct brass screw and somehow the dimmer managed to miraculously fix itself.

Light control

Installed LED lights in my kitchen and hallway. This switch is perfect to adjust the brightness up on down depending on the situation. They were easy to install. After installing the first switch and seeing how well it worked I decided to purchase several more for other LED lights I had installed.

Easy to Install - make sure you have compatible bulbs

The product is very straight forward and easy to install. You're just removing the wires from your old switch and putting them on this one. When I installed as a single-pole, at first the toggle was working backwards (down was on and up was off), but a quick youtube lookup and I realized I just put the wires all on one side rather than one on each side. It worked perfectly after that. Dimmer is great and there's no flickering or buzzing. I highly recommend looking up Lutron's compatibility tool on their website to make sure you're using compatible bulbs!

Simple install

Works great on group of LED pot lights. I have one controlling 7 lights and another controlling 9 Can also be used as a dimming 3-way switch.

Works well

My other switches are toggle so this one matches. I pretested it because I had to cut away some of the mounting metal to fit an unusual Hubbell surface mount box in my old log cabin. Cutting makes it unreturnable I believe. (?)

Tiny slider

At first it seems that the slider it too small, almost hidden. This is actually a good feature because it looks the same as a non dimmer switch. Max dim can be preset using controller. Good quality device.
