Great plud
My house was built in 1978 when they used no. 12 solid wire for the plugs and the plugs back then would take a no. 12 solid wire and push in the back. They don't make a plug now that accepts no. 12 solid wire into the back. Just a no. 14 wire. These have side plates that makes it easy to replace the old style without having to bend your wire around the terminal.

Great quality, get them in white.
Extra quality is nice. My old house has some old outlets, I have been replacing them with these as needed. They really are solid and hold the plugs in well. It is nice to know I will never have to replace them again. I suggest you get white, for safety you need to easily see if there is any burn marks. Even with a high quality receptacle, the plug might have issues and cause sparking or hot spots. Brown receptacles are a bad idea, in my opinion.

Top quality outlets
3 contact points vs typical 1, back wire capable (not back stab) or loop your choice. For heavily loaded outlets these are what you want. I carry one in the back of my electric car in case I need to plug in to a random place and the outlet is subpar. Higher grade+ apparent capacity than 95% of 20 amp outlets. Will buy again.

Very strong outlet
I used this for many years in my home. It is expensive when compared to the type in many homes. The face will not crack or chip. there are also push terminals as well as screw terminals. Very strong and superior build.

Leviton 5252 Brown
I'm not sure why amazon does not sell the brown color - I ended up getting them as nib cheap surplus elsewhere. The flat dense nylon face, confident plug-in alignment and grip is reassuring, as is the elaborate chassis self grounding that is critical for use in my 60yo building. The "apron barrier" can be annoying for double duplex, or when there is a lot of old paint and plaster in the way - I simply cover exposed screw terminals with black tape. The screws on the terminals do NOT come off completely, making it very difficult to loop a solid copper 15amp rated wire around them. The 8 straight in push terminals were a real disappointment, as no matter how deep and tight I made these, the stripped wire would pop out of the hole with a modest twist and pull. in older buildings where circuit boxes are often mounted flush with the back of the sheet-rock you may find the included mounting screws will come up short. make sure you have a flat head screwdriver handy because I found my phillips would not completely tighten these oddball screws. bottom line - I recommend trying one out first before getting these in quantity.
