great price, direct fit for ones I installed 25ys ago
So the water pressure regulator wasn't acting well, and had higher than normal pressure and bad water hammering. Popped some fittings in the manifold, and hurt a couple of valves. I had installed this model 25ys ago. These were a direct fit, looked exactly the same, perform as well. Great price too.

Solenoid appears to be a weak link
I needed replacement solenoids but it was about the same price as the complete valve. I wonder why??

Bought this for parts
I've found siphon valves fail to shut off most times because the solenoid has gone bad. The other times, usually pilot error, it damaging the 'O' ring while you are messing around trying to figure out why the valve leaks. The rings can be had at any hardware store but the solenoid is tougher to find and usually about $11.00. For $4.25 more I get the whole thing and have spare parts. I have cracked the valve body by over torquing. Never had a diaphragm go bad but now I'm ready. If your valve won't shut off or won't start and your valve solenoid is buzzing, either its toast or you have a bad connection. Shut off the water, take the connections from the solenoid apart and advance your timer to the valve should be operating. Rub the wires together where they were connected and see if your solenoid operates with a nice thud sound. That means solenoid good, connection bad.

Not good!
Unhappy! I purchased six of these and the first two that I installed leaked. Over the 30 day return time limit now. Replacing these lawn Genie with older Lawn Genie Valves and the spacing is farther apart on the connections on these. Really surprised since they are both Lawn Genie Brand! Had to re-pipe to them to get them connected and now they both leak, not easy to go back to the old ones.

Perfect valves
Perfect valves for your yard. I’ve always used this brand with little to no problem. Bought 7, one was defected so I returned it. Can’t beat this price.

Dribble, Dribble, Dribble
I have 29 of these which I bought years ago; they all work fine. But these six new ones leak. When I remove the lids to look for debris under the diaphragms, all is clean. The problem is caused by the diaphragms sticking to the lids as if they're vapor locked and thus unable to completely seat to stop the flow of water (and the springs are in place). So water runs and runs and runs. I pry part of the diaphragms away from the lids to break the suction and they pop free from the lids. I asked the company about a possible design change. The response was, "No design change, but you shouldn't use the 54000 with well water. Instead, use the L7034 by Toro." So odd that that the same model has worked for so many years but these new ones don't. I just ordered a replacement set for Orbit.
