Good Spacer

Shower faucet didn't install flush with wall due to copper pipe sweated at a slight angle, so the plate acted as a spacer. Installed the spacer and then applied gray caulking to help hide the much slighter voids. Looks great. I gave it 4/5 stars because (as I recall) the plate was a bit pricey.

Nice trim plate for bathtub spout

This product shouldn't be labeled "bathtub spout with round trim plate". There is no spout, so I can see the point of the one-star review. On the other hand, the picture shows a trim plate only, and besides, you wouldn't want a spout that costs $17. You use this trim plate when you have a spout, and you need something to fill the gap between the spout and the wall when you screw the spout onto the pipe nipple. This one worked great for me. The edging resembled the trim for my faucets, so visually it was perfect. Also, the white inner part is made of foam, so, first, it stretches to fit over any size pipe nipple, and second, it compresses a little bit if you need it to be slightly thinner. The price is a bit high, but how often do you replace your tub spout? And this is a lot more beautiful than the stuff you find at the box stores. I'm happy with the purchase.

Just what I hoped

When the water was flowing, the backflow from the shower diverter would hit the tub rim and run out the side onto the floor. I added this plate to the other one to act as a spacer so the backflow would run down into the tub. It worked great. Yay!

Not an inch thick.

This piece worked well for me, but not a perfect fit. I needed roughly 1/2” thick. This piece is 3/8” or so. Be aware of the size. In the description, they must be listing the box size. It’s chrome, and looks nice, but is pricy.

Expensive. But it solved my problem where nothing I could find at the box store would.

Expected the foam to be glued into the metal. It was not. I am glad. Foam helped seal everything and kept the ring centered on the tub stub out nipple. Ring/flange (whatever you want to call it) is heavier gauge metal than I expected. Very impressed. I do wish it hadn’t cost so much.

Good Looking And Sturdy

Nice Quality trim piece for Tub Spout. Finished in Chrome, smooth and shiny. Foam fits around pipe tightly, and compresses evenly when spout is put into place. American Made.

It's goid to have a phlange that fits snug around the pipe.

The plange works great..Was surprised to read some k8nd of warning about there being a health risk associated with (the foam assuming) it. But I sprayed the foam with oil based primer to seal whatever chemicals in, etc. It's very good to have extra protection from any water going back into the wall should a valve or spout leak.

Size not as advertised

Be aware that the size is not as listed. I purchased thinking this piece was 5.5 inches wide but it is only 3.5 inches across the entire piece. It did not cover enough of the tile that I needed it to. These standard size trim plates are available at all box stores for half the price. If your looking for something larger than normal, this will not work. Other than that, it is a nice part....but measurements are not accurate.

Plate is not 1" deep. It's less than 1cm. Highly disappointing.
