Fabulous faucet, but no the details about the drains before you purchase.

This faucets are absolutely fabulous. However, the drain that came with them was advertised to fit on vessel sinks as long as the cabinet is thinner than 2 1/2 inches. My countertop was 1 1/2 inches and we ended up having to buy three new drains from Kraus to get the drain installed. Kraus refused to trade product or help us in anyway. They just blamed it on the installation of the sink we purchased. I guess you have to purchase a Kraus sink in order for their drains to fit as described. So we’re down an additional $140 to buy extended drains.

Such a beautiful faucet

It's a perfect piece for my vanity . Simple but elegant and quality piece. The shade was a bit different than most of my brushed gold pieces but didn't clash . Worked well. Love it and recommend.

Nice faucet but with one small issue

The faucet is stylish, easy to install and works well. However I had an issue with the fittings to the water supply. They constantly leaked and the washers supplied would not seal . They deformed after several attempts to get them to work, The washers became useless. So I went to my local hardware store and purchased bevel washers and pressed them into the 2 fittings. They worked perfectly, tight fit and no leaks. Cost about $2.00

Great value But Washers Are Junk

I bought and installed 2 units. One worked fine but the other leaked where the supply lines joined the water supply faucets. Tried thread seal tape but that did not work. In the end I replaced that faucet with a Delta Trinsic, and was going to throw the Kraus faucet away but then I read about other reviewers having the same leaking issue and replacing the washers with Danco #7 O-rings. So will now keep the Kraus as a spare. It's amazing how a manufacturer will jeopardize a product by using a crappy part that probably costs cents in the manufacturing process.

A fine faucet that's well made and easy to install. Here's a pointer on installation.

My wife and I love this. It's very appealing (to us) aesthetically, seems to be very well made and it works perfectly. For those who are DIY inclined: I found it easy to install. When installing, I ran into a minor problem that was totally my fault, but I'm mentioning it to prevent others from doing the same thing. It has 2 fastening mechanisms: (1) There's a plate with a 1 3/8 inch threaded hole and the bottom of the main tube is threaded. (2) The plate also has smaller threaded holes for two bolts that are tightened after the main tube has been tightened. Those two bolts are slotted for a Phillips screw driver and the installation instructions only mention that means of tightening them. The bolt heads are also hex shaped to accommodate a wrench for tightening. At first, I didn't even notice that the bolts could be tightened with a wrench, so I thrashed trying to use Phillips screw drivers---long, short, offset, whatever. The bolts were in a tight awkward position which I could only reach at full arm's length. While doing this, I noticed light reflecting from a flat surface on the bolt head and discovered that they had wrench-fitting hex heads. After that, I easily finished tightening them using a small quarter-inch ratchet, a short extension and an 8 mm socket. The installation manual and spec sheet are available on the Kraus USA web site, though it took some effort to find them. I would include links to them but, as I just learned, that violates Amazon's rules for submitting reviews.

Washers

The the hot and cold connection have o-rings with screens in them. I knew from the quality of water that we have that those eventually would become plugged with sediment. For those wishing see the picture included these are the size you need to replace without screens. ### As a note on the store bought washers., When tightening the water supply hook ups with the screen less o rings, go slow, as if you go too fast the o rings can get squished into the supply line and you will get leaks. Just go slow and allow the rings to seat themselves.. i had that happen until i went slow.

Kraus is great!

I bought 3 Kraus products for my bsmt remodel. One kitchen sink, kitchen faucet and bathroom faucet. 3 for 3! They are crafted nicely. Beautiful solid sleek faucet. More than enough height for a vessel sink.

I really like my new vessel sink faucet. I love the quality, it's not a cheaply made faucet, it's heavy metal and very sturdy. I also like the look, it looks great in my bathroom. The water flow is just right!

Installation Issue

I bought two of these. As shown in the attached picture, the manufacturer put strainers in-line at the attachment point which defeats the removeable, cleanable (or replaceable if needed) aerator/strainer at the faucet. When these in-line strainers plug with debris restricting flow (over time they will), service/cleaning is difficult assuming you remember they are there. It required me to make an avoidable trip/expense to acquire washers (also shown in the attached picture) to replace the in-line strainers. Had I known that, I would not have bought them. Really, they should know better. Also, the threaded stem that penetrates the counter top is much shorter than some competitors (and the faucet I'm replacing). In my case the 1.5" granite sits on a 0.5" cabinet (see attached photo). I had to discard the rubber washer to permit the metal washer & lock washer installation. Beware and measure first.
