The dishwasher port is a tad small but it worked

Slip joint portion of this product it too shallow (short).

The slip joint ("S/J") section of the tailpiece is too short to provide adequate stability. This product is advertised as working as a direct connect, it can butt up against the sink drain, or as a slip joint, allowing it to partially slip over another section of drain pipe. In my case I only had enough clearances under the sink to mount this item horizontally between the P trap and the stub out from the wall. Mounting it horizontally introduces a bit of torque on the joint where this product slides over the P trap's exit pipe. The slip joint portion of this product is only about 3/4" deep (2mm). To provide sufficient stability it should really be at least an inch deep (allowing the other pipe to slide into it at least an inch. I thoroughly looked at it and the alternatives carried by Amazon and decided to go with this product, even though I suspected the shallowness of the slip joint might be a problem. It is in place and doesn't leak yet, but it's not been subjected to many dishwasher runs. The pulsing of jets of water from the dishwasher during the drain cycle may cause it to fail and start to leak.

2nd best option if a garbage disposal is not available.

I had a temporary sink while my counters were getting fabricated and this worked well since I did not have a garbage disposal to hook my dishwasher too.
