The first one I ordered never came. I got a empty package. It took me a year to try it again. I finally received what I ordered and I used it at work, and still use it.

Does what it says it will

When I first looked at this product the $100+ price tag scared me off, since I am a homeowner / infrequent user of this tool. So I bought a $40 knock-off that looked and sounded similar. That product did not grip my 1/2" galvanized wireline cable at all -- just slipped down it whenever I pulled. So I returned that product and bought this one. It works exactly as it should -- gripping the same cable and allowing me to pull it tight. My advice: don't waste your time with the other cheaper products that look similar but do not do the same job.

I liked the simplicity of it and I used it to stretch a cable between supporting columns.

Grips cable great and has swing arm latch for safety.

This has a safety latch to help prevent it from popping off the cable and causing serious injury to the user. As with anything made by Klein it is of professional quality and will last for many years.

tool to pull a cable three eights inch excellent tool if you are serious about getting the job done this is the one Oh I know it was a little pricey this is the tool I would buy it again

Lots of $$$ but does the work

I set up a 175' zip line in our backyard and needed to tension a 1/4 inch wire. After spending just $35 for a come along, I had a hard time paying almost 3X that much for this cable grab, especially since I could come up with alternate uses for the come along but none for the Haven's Grip. After unsuccessfully searching in several local tool rental places I yielded and ordered on amazon. I still have a hard time justifying the cost for what essentially is nothing more than a heavy piece of metal, but there is no doubt I would not have managed the task without it. I liked the locking latch feature that secures the wire in place. When tensioning a lose wire, the last thing you need is for it to snap and fly around. Maybe it is the fact that this tool is made of brass that makes it so expensive. If so, I wished someone would make one of another less durable alloy even if that meant I couldn't pass it on to my grandchildren.

What a tool!

The wire cable connected to my well pump broke and the pump was stuck inside the casing. I had just enough cable to grab and this tool not only grabbed it but held on while we winched it up. I'm have always been a fan of Klein tools and this tool is no exception. Extremely well made tool!
