15 months later - still keeping my firepit dry!

This is a great fire pit cover, especially at the price point (I paid mid-20's for it). - Durability: We have had this cover on our fire pit for about 15 months, through two Mid-Atlantic summers, and a winter that saw 36 inches of snow piled on top of it. Our fire pit lives out exposed to the elements except for this cover, and it has stayed dry through all of it. The cover has held up remarkably well. It's made of very tough fabric, which is still quite sturdy and strong, and the elastic underneath is still stretchy and tight. - Ease of use and fit: The cover is easy to put on an take off. we purchased the 44" cover and it fits our 35" round fire pit perfectly, with coverage over the wire domed cover and wrapping down around the bowl of the fire pit. We don't really used the buckles at all. Possibly, if you have a larger fire pit, you'd need the buckles b/c you wouldn't have quite as much wrap around (or buy a larger cover). We have had wind that has knocked our deck chairs all over the place, and this cover stayed put. - Waterproofness - In terms of keeping the fire pit dry (the cover's main job) - it does the job: sometimes, we like to keep a fire laid and ready to go in the fire pit, to save time when we really just need to be making s'mores. This cover lets that happen b/c the wood and kindling, and even the newspaper, stay nice and dry. (LifeProTip - for a great homemade fire starter, stuff dryer lint in toilet-paper rolls and coat in melted candle wax, and let dry. a perfect start, every time) - Appearance: The picture shows the (original) colors of the cover very well. After 15 months, our cover is starting to look a bit worn. It doesn't get a lot of full sun where it is, so I haven't noticed the fading some reviewers have mentioned, but that light tan color on the top does seem to hold onto some darker, streaky stains. This is not that important to me; I sort of like the weathered look,and in all fairness, we have not tried to clean it so it may be that it would clean up and look like new again, so I'm not deducting a star - just wanted to put that out there for those who may be concerned about those things - maybe you'd want to look for a darker color cover, or figure out how to clean it. - Summary Definitely recommend this item if you wish to keep you fire pit dry in all weather, for several seasons in a row.

Glad a company honors their warranty...

The first one I bought wore out quickly. I never registered it but they honored the warranty. The replacement lasted over 5 years which is good enough for me to come back to buy another. Just keep in mind that it's difficult for any fabric to stand up to the sun for too long. You could spend 3 times as much and there would be no guarantee it would last any longer.

Fire pit cover

This cover is attractive fit well the only problem I can see is there should be a extra think was in the center because we live in FL and the sun is always on the fire pit and where the handle is it rots through due to sun breaking down the fabric. We have to get a new one in less then two years. Unfortunately we can't move it into the shade because Hurricane Michael took all our trees 3 years ago

Nice Cover for Fire Pit

I am quite happy with this cover and like that it matches the cover I bought for my small grill. However, the first time I put it on, one of the straps fell off -wasn't sewn on properly. It would be quite easy to sew back on properly, but I only use one strap to anchor it to the fire pit and it comes with 3. Other than that, it fits very nicely and is very sturdy (very thick material). It does the intended job of keeping my fire pit protected from the weather. Update: After constant exposure to the sun (a couple of months), the material will change color. Unfortunately, although this one for my fire pit matched the one for my grill at the time of purchase, the colors have faded differently. The darker edges of the fire pit cover are now a light purple color and the darker portion of the grill cover is a pale green. Other than color, the material is still holding up well to the elements. The lighter portion of both are lighter than pictured, but still a light taupe color.

Very nice, but small for my firepit

The firepit cover is of excellent quality. The material is appears/feels heavy and durable and the bungie/elastic strap around the edge is well made and works well. Only two things to comment on: (1) The "skirt" is shorter than I'd like. In other words, the width of the cover matches my firepit, but the part that drops down could have been longer (guess I should have bought a larger one). (2) My firpit has a spark arrestor dome that has a round handle on the very top that sticks up (doesn't fold down). That creates a very pointed "tent" over the firepit and I'm concerned that with sitting out in the weather and sun, that that point will be the first failure point for leaking. So I modified my cover by sewing a thick piece of canvas material (about 6" in diameter) onto the underside of the cover. I used carpet heavy carpet thread the same color as the rest of the stitches in the cover. That should prevent wear and failure of the cover at the top. I highly recommend this cover. It actually matches the cover on my gas grill.

Lasted 2 years! Garbage. Full of rips.

Stored indoors in winter and took it on and off maybe 10 times a summer. The canvas is so light weight that it’s word through and shreds at the slightest abrasion. This is not a quality cover to only last 2 years. Very disappointed.

Second time around

Had to order a new one of these as someone accidentally turned on the fire pit and scorched the first one. Water repellent out of the package and quality seems very good. Will see how long the water repellency lasts over the very wet winters we have here in coastal BC.

Inferior material

Came to me damaged. Had I seen it in a touch feel environment, I would not have given it a chance. Cheap.

Had it on my fire pit for only a few days while I ordered a new much bigger one. It rained a lot and this cover did work well BUT it only covered the dome part of the pit.. ;)
