Perfect Fit, But Overall Material is Too Thin

Perfect fit. They finally perfected the fit for burly dudes like myself making it nice & wide, but not so long that it's halfway down your butt. I love wide, short shirts. Also, the V-neck part has been tightened up a bit so it's not so dang low on your chest, though they could probably make it a little bit bigger as it's now lost the high-end look where I could wear it with a blazer & be ready for a cocktail party. Lastly, the neck starts warping into weird shapes after a couple washings which should probably rate it down to 3-stars, but the fit is so perfect & the price is decent. So I hope they fix the warping at least & I'll buy more. UPDATE: So I just got my new shirts today & it looks like they fixed the neck, making it the perfect size & the jury's still out, but it looks to be sturdier as well. The only problem is that they seem to have made the overall material thinner! Why would they opt to up the quality everywhere else, but skimp on the overall material? I really want to give it 3 & a half stars at this point, but Amazon's limiting system won't let me. Hope they continue to perfect this shirt.

Cotton doesn't breathe

These shirts are made well. But if you are looking for a light weight tee, this one seems a bit heavy.

Great Price on an Old Favorite

I have a few American Apparel T's but unfortunately, their stores have closed. Very happy I can them on Amazon. This particular one came just as promised. I like the color and quality. I was a little concerned that the color might run on the first wash, but it did not. Fit is what you would expect and I've washed it a few times and still looks good. The color is bright. Will buy more.

Falling apart after 1 wash

I do not recommend these shirts. They lose their shape after about 3 hours and they are falling apart after one wash. The hems are coming out of all of them. Very disappointed in these. Would not purchase again. Gave then 2 stars because the fit is as listed and the color is true black.

Favorite tee shirt.

This is my favorite tee shirt and has been fit many years. So glad to realize it’s an option to order thru Amazon. My original shirt is probably ten years old with minimal shrinkage and only slight color fading after all that time. I’m happy to freshen up my wardrobe with a new one

Great belly shirt

This shirt is about 4" too short. I wear a size large, the fit through the shoulders is great, but it's weirdly short. Useless purchase...

Comfy quality shirt with a great fit

These shirts are buttery soft, wear well, and last. I love that they are slimmer fit so I can wear a basic comfy T without the boxy look or super short sleeve that comes on women’s cut T-shirts.

Buy a size up

Shrunk substantially after wash. Buy a size up, or go with their tri-blend tshirts.

Not The Same

I am disappointed with these shirts. I bought many of the original t shirts of the same name at the old retail locations over many years. American Apparel went bankrupt and the name was bought by another company. These shirts are similar to the original but the material is far inferior, and the v neck opening and border is smaller. I will not purchase again.
