A Great Price for an Excellent Deck Faucet with One Quirk

I bought this faucet to replace an existing Roman Tub deck faucet that came with my new home. After it had begun to leak, I was horrified to discover that the builder had bought an out of production faucet with a quirky cartridge that I couldn't identify and find a replacement for, so I had to get a new faucet. In my research, I discovered that the original faucet was most likely a ripoff version of this Kingston faucet, because the model name was spelled wrongly, and this faucet was of MUCH higher quality. Installation was fairly straightforward, until it came time to attach the hoses that connect the valves to the spout assembly, and that is when I discovered a "quirk." Given the distance between the two valve assemblies (using the original holes bored in my Roman tub,) I discovered that there was essentially NO room to thread the hoses on to the attachment points because they were at the same depth as those on the spout assembly. After a lot of frustration, I found that by rotating the spout assembly an additional 45 degrees, I was able to create just enough room to attach the hoses and get the faucet working. The job would have been much easier if the attachment points weren't all at the same depth, but you've gotta deal with stuff sometimes, right? In any event, this is a GREAT faucet! I looks wonderful, works well, and it finally stopped the leak! Also, this faucet is listed at a much higher price on Kingston's website and many others, so Amazon's price is a very good deal. I am a very happy customer!

Great Quality

We’re in the middle of a fairly large re-model right now. I finally reached my limit in looking for new fixtures for the master bath when I ran across the Kingston Brass brand at a hardware outlet store. All the big box stores have limited selections and over exaggerated prices. I just said the hell with it and I brought two fixtures home for our vanity. I handed them over to my master plumber. Immediately he growled that he didn’t know this brand and he didn’t like to install anything substandard. We opened up the box and much to his surprise, the all brass and well-made fixtures were high quality. We both were pleasantly surprised. I since bought a shower fixture so everything would match. I was pleased to see that this brand is not hard to locate on-line and is very cost effective when compared to other manufactures like American Standard or Moen. The only down fall, which is partially my own for not being a fixture guru, the 12” indication on this product is the maximum distance you can place the handles, I thought the spout was 12”. We wanted the larger reach from the tile decking into the tub. We ended up having to drill and install it into the tub. I’ve only seen the oil brushed products but I would defiantly recommend this brand.

Nice quality

We had to find brass tone to match other fixtures in the Jacuzzi room. This fit the bill and was shipped promptly. The faucet we replaced was from 1991 when our home was built; so there were some small adjustments necessary (like the hole needed to come up through the tile was larger on the old one than this new one) but we were able to hide the difference with caulk and out plumber is looking for an additional brass base ring to better fix the issue cosmetically for us.

Looks Great

Fits the rest of decor. I dont use the tub much, so mainly its for looks. The weak part is the spout does not tighten up all the way and moves a bit.

Nice unit.

Very nice unit. Seems very solid and well made. The handler base is pretty large. Have to take out up from the bottom to install. But was easy enough to do.

Scratched and scuffed when removed from the package. Returned twice!

I really wanted to like this product after seeing so many good reviews. Unfortunately, the units (yes, I sent one back and got another and had to send it back too) were scuffed and scratched through the oil rubbed bronze finish and into the brass beneath in numerous places. Packaging was intact and sealed too. This was a problem that occurred at the factory. I ultimately purchased a competitor's faucet at a lower price and with a higher quality finish. Buyer beware!

Beautiful faucet!

I LOVE this faucet. Not only was it affordable, it was easy to install & looks amazing in my new bathroom! Approximately 7.5GPM, it fills up my 70 gallon tub in less than 10 minutes. After reading reviews & purchasing this faucet, I'd definitely recommend the Kingston Brass line of products for their quality & affordability. You won't be disappointed!
