Bigger than expected
Pants just is not fitting like the one I bought at Nordstrom. Same size but this one is way bigger around the bud.

Nice pants
The fabric on the Inkwell wash has very little stretch so the pants are a bit tight compared to jeans with the Kinetic fabric. Otherwise it has a nice dark finish - more velvety than a pure color. People can't tell if they are black or navy. Price can vary.

Why can't Joe's tell us the length? Too good for us?
I took a chance with these, not knowing what the length was going to be. Too short would be no good, and too long I could roll up the cuff and they'd look okay in this style pant (I got the "grease" style, which is more of a chino pant than a full on pair of jeans). Turned out they were a bit loose across the board and definitely too long, with two folds at the cuff required. Not a big deal, as they seem to be designed to be a touch on the snug side, so the look isn't too bad. Maybe a bit more baggy than is fashionable. It's my first experience with the "modal" fabric, which the internet says is 'bio-based fabric that is made from spinning beech tree cellulose.' It's reportedly longer-lasting than typical cotton, retains its shape, and has some other good eco-friendly qualities, but is likely at least part of what's making these pants cost over $100. At over 70% cotton, though, it's a comfortable feel, with a slight (3%) spandex stretch to them... almost too much. Even 1% spandex can be enough stretch for some of us men. Regardless, I like the high-quality, great comfort, understated look of these pants, and look forward to seeing how durable they actually are. Will they hold their shape? Will they start to wear out at the knee, or start turning white along the thighs? How will they compare to other similar pants I have that sell for half the price? Time will tell. For now, due to the higher cost and lack of explanation of the length, 4.25 stars.

Nothing
The sizes are not always the way they said. No standards sizes. Be careful

Grease color is more of pant than a jean. Has a 'California cool' look.
The media could not be loaded. As others have stated, the Grease color style is a pant vs. a jean. It's odd that some Brixton are jeans and some are pants ... but know that if you order the Grease color, you are going to get a very nice, thick and soft pair of pants. These have more of a dressy look than a casual look. I have been looking for that 'California cool' style of jeans/pants for a while. Dark grey jean/pants ... t-shirt ... black blazer which all the celebs wear. These are IT! A pair of suede boots and I feel just like Hank Moody in these pants. At first I was a little dissapointed that these looked more like pants than jeans as I had hoped for dark grey denim. I like them much better on than I did taking them out of the package. The material is not as stretchy as I thought it might be ... but it is super soft and almost buttery feeling, like faux suede even though it doesn't look like suede. It might be the most comfortable pair of pants I've worn ... if only they were a bit more stretchy. I am glad that I ordered my traditional size in jeans. I wear a 36 waist x 34 length and these fit me perfectly! It's almost like they were made for me. I sometimes wear a size 38 waist in dress pants but even though these are pants, the waist fits great and they are not at all baggy in the legs. I am a former pro football player and I am 6'3 and 230 lbs. I'd still say I have a somewhat athletic build, even into my 40's but I also have a few extra pounds on me (I believe they call it 'dad bod'), just for reference of sizing. I like that these are cut somewhat slim, which gives you a leaner and sleeker look, especially with a blazer. However, they are not so slim that its hard or uncomfortable to sit down in them. I might not love wearing these on a cross country flight but on a couple hour car trip, they'd be fine. Overall, I have owned Joe's jeans actual denim jeans before. While they are among the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn ... I will say that most of my Joe's jeans wear out quicker than other brands in that the fabric stretches and they end up looking sloppy and baggy. I am not sure if these will do the same as the denim ones do. So far, they seem to be holding up after 2 weeks of wear. I will update this if anything changes. Bottom line ... love the fit ... love the material ... like the color ... but know that you'll be getting pants, not jeans, if you order the Grease (dark grey) color. I hope my review, video and photos helped you make a good shopping decision and sizing choice.
