Conservative and cute!

It’s getting almost impossible to find a reputable brand conservative cut yet cute suit for lap swimming! This is perfect! Thank you TYR. I also purchased a long hair swim cap. I now love my lap swimming workouts. I bought my normal size 8. It fits perfectly and keeps everything where it belongs. I discarded the bra pads bc they are weird.

Amazing swimsuit!

I'm a 55 year old female with a new pool. I used to swam competitively, albeit decades ago. I wanted a real swimsuit I could swim laps in, but couldn't imagine my, hmm, heavier than decades ago frame fitting into a swimsuit like I wore while on swim teams. This is the perfect suit! It is a real swimmer's swimsuit, but also has great tummy control and keeps my butt covered. There's still a keyhole back, but the keyhole is a little smaller than the regular suits (hint - it now covers a little back fat). Suit looks great, feels, great, and gives me confidence to get back into swimming.

Exactly what I was looking for!!

I had been looking for a lap swim suit with padding that fit! This is absolutely great! Great quality, worth the price, fits well, and has built in bra pads!! 100% recommend over any speedo suit!!

Misses Shops too much....

... started swimming competitively at age 5, continuing through College. She works at a spa for rich ladies and teaches swimming there along with water classes (and many other things unrelated to swimming). So, for her lap swim workouts, she uses a typical racer back, thin strapped suit. But this, she uses at work while teaching lessons and those water classes I mentioned. She jokingly refers to this as "an old lady suit"; don't be offended, she has mostly gray hair; it's really more about lap swim workout functionality and what she's used to, versus what she perceives as a more leisure/less active type of use. Likely most purchasers of this suit do not include the Butterfly stroke in their swims; she does; a bit restrictive in a suit with shoulder straps as wide as what this suit has. Because this is both "durafast" and "controlfit" that means you are going to get a thicker fabric than a standard TYR or even TYR durafast suit. She said this takes longer to dry. This suit does have a bra and the pads are removable; she was glad for that as she doesn't use them. Like the other TYR suits we have and have received lately, this is of quality materials and workmanship; Misses Shops too much says it's a great suit. I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision. I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

Really cute suit and great quality

This suit is just what you would expect from TYr. The fabric is high quality and the manufacturing/stitching are all where they should be. It stays in place and the butt doesn’t get saggy when it’s wet. The the fabric hasn’t pilled even though I wore it a whole season. My only con is that I would prefer a little more leg/butt coverage, but I think that’s how “working suits” are generally cut.

Extremely Durable in the pool

I've been wearing this for the last two plus months every day in the pool for 90 minutes or more. It shows no signs of fading and the fabric has not lost its integrity. The stitching is still in perfect shape, it's not sagging or loose, and it still performs like it did right out of the package. I've had other Tyr suits, and I prefer this one as the material is a little bit thicker. It's clearly a superior suit, and well worth the cost.

Great activewear swimsuit! Fits true to size

This review is for the the TYR Women's Durafast Elite Max Splice Controlfit One Piece Swimsuit - This is a great suit from Tyr! Perfect for being active in the water. The material is a nice level of thickness, but also has a good amount of stretch to it. I am a true size 18-20, and the size 18 in this suit fits me well. This suit does have a small shelf bra built into it, but it does not feel bulky and also doesn't have molded cups built in. It's not much but it does add another layer of support which is appreciated.

Great workout swimsuit

I got this for my daughter-in-law, and the following is her review: I am using this for casual lap swim workouts, and it works great. The suit is comfortable, fits great, and provides good coverage. It is not quite as flattering as I hoped, but for a workout suit, that's not a big deal. It is fully lined, seems very well made, and should last me a long time. I would purchase it again!
