I'm IMPRESSED....

I'm quite impressed with the performance of this Metal Halide bulb. I have run this bulb 18 hours a day for only 3 weeks now, and the vegetative growth is prodigeous! I also have a new iPower digital, dimmable electronic ballast that I purchased earlier, also thru Amazon, and have had the opportunity to use all the available settings on my ballast-- 500watts,750watts, and 1,000watts. The light was very steady and constant, even between changes in wattage -- up or down. At 1,000watts, this bulb REALLY puts out the LUMENS, I don't have a meter, but it's INTENSE, believe me you..... I have grown before, using only High Pressure Sodium bulbs, but it's really HARD on young plants and seedlings, what they need is the cooler blue light of the spectrum, to build up their basic structure in preparation for flowering and/or fruiting. Yields can increase exponentially with proper use. ALL very young plants need SPECIAL care to become strong and productive later on, this bulb does as advertised.....I am extremely pleased with the bulb, BOTH for the PRICE and the PERFORMANCE...Delivered right to my POBox, really quick, just a few days, really!! The only, and I mean the only thing I could find wrong was that the shipping box did not have enough filler so that the bulb (in it's own box) was sliding about quite a bit, luckily I got it out, hooked it up, and it worked great! A LITTLE more packing material would be advised to make this a PERFECT deal, but if I need another...I'm getting it from these guys. FAST service and GOOD product!!

Pros:The price is half for what you pay in a store. This bulb comes with a one year warranty which is nice. bulbs should be changed annually. At this price you can buy two. If a bulb is broken amazon will send ups out to pick it up for no cost .customer service called although i did not answer the phone, the message they left was to make sure i was happy with my purchase and to offer me a choice of free product just for writing a review. And since the bulb was so easy to return and because of the year warranty i will be wanting to purchase a few of these soon. Hydro shops charge a premium. Cons: I did not buy two and received a broken bulb which blew as soon as i turned it on. There was a piece of tiny broken glass inside the bulb and when i turned it on it blew off a small part of the bulb so i had to return the bulb. Due to time restraints i had to go to my local hydro dealer and buy a bulb for twice as much.I don't believe the fault of the manufacturer or seller but it might have been packed in the middle of the box not against the side where it can take the brunt of any mistreatment on the part of the shipper.

Good Quality , Good Results

I bought this for my indoor plants (orchids), i noticed a difference in growth in the first month , they were getting plenty of new growth. Orchids are very sensitive to light so i was concerned they may get burns at first , but they didn't. They should be blooming shortly and usually the blooms are erratic and go in all sorts of directions, im anticipating some really straight spikes this year with this bulb. The only thing i would say , which is true for ALL lights , is that you lose luminescence as the bulb ages so they have to be replaced shortly. You also will see a large spike in your electric bill , so make sure you have a strict timer , even a few hours of light is enough to see a difference , i keep mine on for 4 hours a day . Another great thing is they have a warranty if anything goes wrong. which is great because sometimes they burn out for no reason at all.

Well I see that some people have problems with the bulb and getting a replacement. I have been doing buisness with E-Marketing Solutions The price is great, the packaging is top notch, fast shipping and should you have a broken bulb or problems with your product just make sure you purchased it from E-Marketing Solutions they will ship you a new blub the next day . Their customer service is one of the best no hassels what so ever 5 star and I have been buying on line for years. I get two blubs for the price of one and never have to worry about any problems once I purchase it from E-Marketing Solutions I hope this helps those who have been having problems in the past. Also the bulb comes with one year warranty!

Be careful!

After installing light bulb, Unfortunately, it broke pieces when I sprayed water in my pot. Fortunately, I wasn’t harmed, but a big explosive sound and light like lighting. So, Everyone is careful! I wish I could get a refund. But, I am not sure it is who's responsible. Is it seller or buyer? I am a novice indoor gardener. Honestly, I didn’t know how the light bulb worked. Anyhow, I just ordered another bulb for Plants. Ah. Still shock by the boom and worry about cleaning Glass pieces tomorrow.

Get the other brand this bulb could use some engineering.

The media could not be loaded. The blue light seems to stunt the plants and make them grow slower I'm not the getting the growth I would expect more for a 36 dollar bulb especially when Vivosun has one for the same price. But there is visible difference between the two lights I personally think the bulb runs hotter than it should and doesn't seem as bright as it should.

Plants don't like the spectrum

Ran a month, seemed like a nice bright blue 6000k veg light but the plants didn't react as they normally do, they just seemed stalled out. Went back to the Vivosun 4200k version with more red and within hours...plants are noticeably loving it and thriving again. Look elsewhere.

IPower, is not quality at all

ordered 2, came broken , sent back, the send 2 more one is broken, other making a noise.. they send one more... Now one them is making a 40db noise... The other is making a 70db noise, vibration inside the light. It is normal according to ipower, like silent ballast making 60db sound....
