Plug into Convenience with GHome Smart Mini Smart Plug, but the App Needs a Reboot
If you're looking for a way to make your home smarter and more efficient, the GHome Smart Mini Smart Plug is a great place to start. This WiFi-enabled outlet socket allows you to control any device plugged into it with your voice or the GHome app on your phone. It's a convenient and easy-to-use device that can help you save energy and simplify your daily routine. However, while the plug itself is great, the associated app leaves something to be desired. It can be a bit glitchy and difficult to navigate at times, which can be frustrating when you're trying to set up schedules or control your devices remotely. It's not the end of the world, but it's definitely an area where the manufacturer could improve. Despite the app's quirks, the GHome Smart Mini Smart Plug is still a fantastic device. It's small and unobtrusive, making it easy to plug in just about anywhere. And once you have it set up and working with your voice assistant, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it. So if you're looking to add some smart functionality to your home, give the GHome Smart Mini Smart Plug a try - just be prepared to deal with the app's eccentricities.

App is terrible, use Smart Life instead
The Gosund app for this device is one of the worst that I've come across, very confusing and it wasn't clear what I was supposed to do. I finally got it working but I couldn't find anywhere how to connect it to Alexa. Another reviewer suggested using the Smart Life app, which I was already using for other devices, instead. I uninstalled the Gosund app and reset this device by holding the power button for several seconds. I opened the Smart Life app and it immediately found this device. I clicked to add it, Smart Life verified the WiFi data, which it already had, set up the device, and connected it to Alexa. It didn't take more than a minute or two. The device itself seems to work OK, it is certainly less expensive than other similar items that I've seen.

These work great and were easy to setup
If you have smart devices in your home, then you've probably got a bunch of apps on your phone because each brand has to be setup on it's proprietary app. This product is no exception, but what is exceptional is that I have been able to use the app for these plugs to setup other smart light bulbs and smart plugs that either wouldn't setup in their own proprietary app, or I don't know what app it requires anymore. None of the other apps have ever worked with other products. Modern wi-fi broadcasts both 2.5 Ghz and 5 Ghz. These devices all need the 2.5 Ghz. AT&T fiber internet service won't allow me to alter the SSID of the 2.5 Ghz so the smart devices can see it and use it. I thought I wasn't going to be able to use some of the light bulbs and plugs I already had. I downloaded the app for these plugs ("Gosund") and was surprised that the app could find the 2.5 GHZ wi-fi that broadcasts on the same SSID as the 5 GHZ. If this is your home network setup too, then it likely will not find the plug on the first 2 minute "device search", wait for it to time out. There is an additional setup process that it offers you once it fails to find the plug. Follow the simple steps and each plug is connected and working in under 5 minutes per plug. If you have smart light bulbs that aren't connecting, try using this app. I have some that are about 5 years old and their proprietary app on my phone wasn't able to get them connected to my network, but this app did and those bulbs are now back in service. We have bulbs we bought at wally world for our driveway coach lights. They setup through their proprietary app, but they kept falling off the network. I deleted them and then set them up again through the app for these plugs and now they work great. The app also finds Bluetooth-enabled smart devices. Unlike other apps, this one lets you turn off the adverting in the app. We use these with Alexa and they work seamlessly. Open the Alexa app on your phone after they're setup successfully in the Gosund app. With Alexa you can easily give them names, rename them, create groups of plugs or groups with other devices in certain rooms, and use Alexa "skills". There is a power button on the side of each plugs so you can manually turn the plug on or off, but Alexa can still turn it back on or off after you've done that. They are 3 prong and UL listed. The only small negative is their round shape can prevent something with a large plug from fitting into the other hole in your electrical outlet and I don't think you could plug two of these into the same outlet. As you can see in the picture, I have a power strip plugged into the other hole and it fits fine, but other plugs don't so think about where you'll put them and what else you have to plug in there. For me it hasn't been an issue. I recommend these and will buy more of them as needed.

TUYA Compatible
These work great with my Home Assistant setup, as they are Tuya devices If you plan on using them for Home Assistant, or don't feel like having more than one smart device app on your phone, do not set them up with the GHome App, download the Tuya Smart app from your app store. Honestly, I do this with all my smart home devices, as they all tend to follow the Tuya protocol anyway. I have devices from Govee, Lenovo, and many others that are in my Tuya app, and off their "own" which is just a reskin.

Easy to use
I really like these plugs, I use them for lamps and my teapot and they work great most of the time. Occasionally the lights will randomly start going off and on and I have to unplug them and reset them which is a hastle. It's happened with 2 different plugs so I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong or an issue with the plug or app. Other than that I love being able to program my lamps to turn on and off or to turn on the teapot from a different room.

WIFI based remote control
These are a treat. Once set up they can be triggered by a phone or other device from anywhere as long as the device has access to wifi. I use several of these for lights, fan and other decorative lights and devices. I can set schedules, or turn them on/off at will.

Workaround for the 2.4GHz
So, like many on here, I was having the same pairing issue due to my 5 GHz vs the required 2.4GHz for the device. My older devices were all set up prior to the conversion to 5GHz wi-Fi. I found a guy on YouTube with a great work around. Most routers actually broadcast in both. 2.4GHz is the default when you are farther away from your Wi-Fi. It has the ability to broadcast farther. So, take your device, plug it into an extension cord and take it outside for the set up process. Get as far away from your Wi-Fi as possible, while still being connected. Your Wi-Fi and phone should then default to 2.4GHz due to the longer range distance and allow you to set up the device. This is the only time you will have to do this. Only during set up. It worked for all four of my new plugs.
