Good suction, super fast shipping

The same came in super fast. The light has a good stable sturdy feel to it and it had decent illumination. I would buy this again.

Light is brighter than it looks

When I fist stuck this to the engine on my inflatable RIB, it didn't look very bright. Asked the local sheriff that docks right by us what they thought about the brightness, and they said it was brighter than most stern lights they see on boats at night. So a big plus there. Also, keep a spare set of batteries on board, so you can change out if needed. Battery life is NOT long on this light (nor is it on pretty much every other LED light like this). Not a big deal though. Suction is great, and I've yet to lose it, but I do have a lanyard around it and attached to the boat, just in case. It does float. Overall, an excellent value for the money.

I use this light on my paddle board. This is the 2nd one I've purchased. The last one lasted for 5 years and was used in fresh and salt water.

A good light for small watercraft

My rating is really 4.5 The light is as bright as many small watercraft stern lights The light does not come with a lanyard/ carabiner ($4-5 more in "components") There is a place opposite of the on/off switch to attach a key ring/lanyard/carabiner combo. The suction cup provides good suction AND is durable. I've used the suction cup lights from chain specialty outdoor stores - the Innovative Lighting suction cup far outlasted the lightweight rubber of the competing product/ The I/L/ cup is retained by the light housing by a bolt head that is imbedded in the top of the rubber suction cup (I once accidentally separated the light assembly from the cup by vigorously pulling straight up rather than sliding the cup along the deck to break suction). My lights have floated with the batteries installed. No leakage was observed. The Eneloop rechargeable batteries have worked very well in this application. They hold more power than alkalines and retain their charge very well over several months or more. I primarily put this light on the stern of my kayaks and have occasionally used it in a pinch on small outboard powerboats. I own 4 of these lights (handy for group night paddling trips). Due to the short profile of this product, the user will want to make an extra effort to position the light where it is most visible to other boats

Nice light; wish it had a shield to limit forward-facing light

I used opaque tape to cover the front of the lens, so it provided the proper aft coverage for a stern light.

Great navigation light for dinghy!

I use this navigational light on my dinghy. The suction cup allows me to mount it on top of my outboard motor. I've never had it fall off even when going through big waves going to and from my sailboat. The light is adequate and provides safety as I'm navigating after dark around other boaters. Price is a little more than I would expect for this type of product but it works well so I can't complain too much.

There is a hole for a leash line ... use it.

Great product overall. I have used these nav lights on my Hobie Tandem Island and my 17' Perception sea kayak in reasonably rough weather. They have performed well, are easy on battery consumption, and proven to be quite water proof. I highly recommend adding leashes as the suction cups work very well, they can still be knocked loose when nosing into waves.

Works great on our Monster wake tower.

After finding out that I needed to have a light on the highest point of the boat (the wake tower) I thought I would try this out before spending a lot of money on electrical work for a permanent light on the tower. I am glad to have this product! It stayed on as we went over the large wake of other boats with no problem. At first I thought it needed to be brighter and I guess it could stand to be brighter but once it was up on the tower at night I knew it would keep us safe and the boat was legal. So far it has been reliable but if anything goes wrong I will update the review.
