Not what it use to, or should be for the price

I have a few OLD Greenfield tap wrenches, and LOVE them for their smooth-fitting threading, nicely tapered handles for extra grip/torque on the taps, and just overall solid build. When I found myself in need for this size tap wrench, I naturally went to go buy another Greenfield (GTD). Man, was I ever disappointed! What you see in the pictures is NOT what you are getting. The handles are straight, not tapered. The threads are loose and dirty. While I will admit the hardened steel tap holder part is nice and sharp, the overall fit and finish is equal to that of a cheap $10 tap wrench I got from Harbor Freight (actually less than $10, since it was part of a $10 kit). Knurling is sharp, but WAY over pronounced compared to the nice subtle knurling of the older wrenches. Again, feels like the same knurling as the Harbor Freight wrenches. Seriously, I wouldn't pay more than $15 for this wrench, especially since you would have to tear it apart, clean, and lube the threads to make it even usable. I just simply can't state enough how disappointed I am with this wrench. Stay CLEAR away for the price they are charging for this unfinished product. Sadly, it is hard to find tools that are well made anymore.
