Very good value at this price point and cuts very well too.
I’ve owned a number of different brands of shavers and have found that Remington is one of the best for the money. They tend to cut very well, last year’s and are very reasonably priced. This particular Remington model does not feel as well constructed as some of the high-end shavers at those code four $100-$200. So I think for the price this one is pretty good.

Good shaver, but don’t buy if you plan on using it on your head.
I made the mistake of buying this to shave my head, completely ignoring the fact that Remington literally makes a dedicated head shaver. They claim the cutters are good for 6 months and the head for up to a year, and It works really great at first, but after only about a month to a month and a half, the blades go dull and start to pull a lot and cause some really bad irritation. I’ve already put more money into this thing than it’s worth in replacement cutters and I feel like an idiot. Learn from my mistake.

Great value
I bought this as a replacement razor for my son because his last electric razor broke. He really likes this one. He said it works well. He has a fair amount of facial hair, so he enjoys being able to grab the electric razor to quickly clean up before heading out. Good value.

Great Shaver for the Money
I have been using a rotating head electric razor for the past year, and it’s never truly gotten as close of a shave as I would like. That’s where the foil razor comes in. Does a great job in giving me a nice close shave. Downside of course is the fixed foil heads makes it a little tricky to hit some of my facial curves without a little bit of finesse. But for the money it’s a great razor.

Long usage review - wanted more reasonable priced electric than the big B brand
Prior used Braun had a battery losing it for holding a charge, and screen/cutters were at time of replacement, and reviews of their new screen design confirmed what I'd already seen about grabbing/pulling hairs, so wanted another electric - but not Braun prices. So tried this, starting March 2021. Figured cheap enough low risk if I only got a year. During pandemic I started shaving 5x weekly, about every 36 hrs (morning, next day night, skip day, morning, ect). So less battery usage (still lasts 2 weeks easily not running until dead), but cutting longer hair. This thing worked better than I was expecting, the middle bar trimmer worked great going sideways across the hair direction cutting them shorter, then going against the hair growth direction to cut short. Rarely any hair grabs, even using that method after 4 days camping & no shaving. The ability to rinse with water may work better if done after each shave, I did after each charge and too much grunge to rinse off, so had to dry brush first like I'd normally do, then rinse - still a tad nicer to just get the head wet. To that point the blades attach very easily, and pop off rather easily when brushing or shooting with sink sprayer unless held just right. The screen is a very firm pull off though - don't bend that metal gripping! Last week finally replaced screen/blades - 19 months usage - and was still working just fine it seemed. Problem was I ruined screen on 1 side after a wash and leaving separate to dry, something fell and bent screen, so that became the secondary side always, and even then of course the blade wore the metal too thin finally. I've tried to treat the battery like I would a lithium even though it's not - charge before dead (easy since it has flashing red light), don't leave on charger after finished (easy as it has solid green light). Perhaps that's why my battery is lasting better than some reviews. The flip-up hair trimmer works well, though the placement of cutting blades just low enough to make it hard for me to see exactly, unless I can see the edge of the flip-up. Overall very thrilled with it - especially considering the pricing. Sure beats the Remington I had as a teenager.

No Regret buying this
I have been looking around for a shaver for a while now, I purchased the F5-5800. After the initial 24hr charging I tired using it for the first time, I was impressed! The shaver blades move very quickly providing a very nice shave. Previous to this I always used the 3 head rotary shavers but this foil is nice. The build quality seems sturdy not a cheap plastic feel like the discount shavers. I recommend the F5-5800 I don't think you will regret it. Just a quick note, in the advertisement it shows the razor in a stand, disappointingly is does not come with one I really wonder why they have this pictured in the ad it is almost false advertising although it is not mentioned in the description.

Good razor, reasonable price.
I bought this razor for my husband based on his selection. He quite likes it and has good things to say about it, so it's recommended. Here are his pros and cons. PROS - Visual guage lets you see how much battery life is left - works plug in or battery, good for travel - comfortable in hand - gives a close shave with extra cutting levels, good for beards - separate trimmer for sideburns CONS- does not come with a case - cleaning, a bit difficult to take apart - average sound level, not quiet

Not bad for the money...but expected better
Haven't used a Remington electric shaver for many years and after using Braun for the past 50 years, I thought I'd like to try Remington again. Shave is not as good as some of the reviews stated; cleaning under water is decent but don't run the water when cleaning or it will splash all over the place...unlike my previous Brauns; Price is cheaper than Braun..most are overpriced in my opinion; Remington replacement heads a great deal less costly than Braun; Remington nice looking and the battery level gauge is great. Not sure if I'd purchase another Remington though.

Poor shave
I recently purchased this Remington F5-5800 razor to replace my old Philip rotary head shaver. I found that the shaver did not give as close a shave as my old Philip's razor. I do not have a heavy beard and even at that the result was very poor. My old Philip's gave a much closer and cleaner shave. As for cleaning the head, you have to be very careful as the blades are mounted on plastic parts and would be easy to break off. i am back to shaving with my old razor. i would definitely not recommend this razor to any one no matter what type of beard they have. Quite un-impressed with this Remington product
