Not item pictured
I ordered this tool for a difficult to reach snap ring based off the picture it should of done the job. When tool arrived it was not as pictured and is much chunkier than pictured I might have to grind or modify it to do the job

It worked for removing snap ring clips on my Ford headlights
I used this to remove the retaining clip on the back of Ford headlights. It definitely makes the job easier. I can't say how long it will last because I will rarely have a need to use it. Certainly you will get multiple uses out of it, it doesn't feel fragile. This is one of those tools that will collect dust for the average joe but is awesome when you have it! If you are wondering how it works: When you close the handles, the tip opens and vice versa. It comes with different size tips for various size snap rings. The tips are held in place with an allen screw, the wrench is also supplied. 4 stars because I have seen other brands of these before that were much more polished and durable looking.

Did the job I needed them to, but worried they might not last.
I needed a pair of long snap ring pliers to remove a ring on the front of the final drive shaft on my John Deere 2210. These are certainly long enough and they got the job done. While I didn't have problems with the handles that others mention, I found the tips to be fairly soft. The shoulders on them wore off quickly and provided a bit of a ramp that made it hard to keep the snap ring on the pliers.

The long reach is the best. It gives me better control over the work I'm doing with snap rings.

Praise from a skeptic
Buy it! Totally worth every cent. A solid, precise, robust and durable tool. Im not a amazon afficionado and dont come back here to write reviews. In this case I had to, because tho i was expecting a cheap (40CAD !!!) pliers, flimsy etc this one proved me wrong.
