Bees knees
These filters are the bees knees. I use this filter in series with a cheap carbon block filter and NEVER have bad tasting water. The water where I live is borderline undrinkable, but this fixes it completely. I have used this product for over five years now. Each cartridge lasts a long time. I have used them for over two years and never sensed any change. I replace them every two years just because it seems like a good idea. I don't know how much water I put through it. It filters only my cold line in the kitchen and my ice maker. Great product. Update: I have been using the two-stage system with the UDS-10EX1 and a carbon block filter for over ten years now; I am still very satisfied. However, I moved to another state, and the flow rate dropped to under 1 gpm. I tried switching filters and I tried using only one filter at a time. I can get 1.5 gpm with only one filter installed, but the flow remains under 1 gpm with both installed. I have finally concluded that the water pressure at my new house is much lower than at my old house. I haven't checked the pressure at the new house yet, so I don't have numbers to report. So if you do buy this cartridge, be aware that running it in series with another .5 micron filter may result in an unacceptably low flow rate. I repeat, however, this filter, even solo, produces excellent tasting water, and if it's claims that it strips other kinds of nastiness are valid, it also produces much safer water.

water is sparkling clean
Removed all the silt, bad taste and egg like odor. Impressed. Only down fall is that when you first run it through your system you can see all of the small black charcoal pieces that come out of the filter. Makes you wonder if there is any pieces still flushing through after you can see them and is it safe to drink afterwards. I installed this in the end of October 2017 and it is now the middle of January and I have run many baths full of water--- don't smell, see or taste anything in my water.

Excellent KDF filter.
Very excellent KDF filter. I use it first in our under counter two unit filter, along with a Pentek CBC-10 Carbon Block filter. Not only does it improve the taste and safety of the water but also extends the life of the carbon unit due to the antibacterial properties of the KDF unit. Great price and fast shipping for both cartridges. Have had our under counter unit for many, many years and these filters perform as well or better than any used before. I would highly recommend both these for any two filter setup.

Great filters! After 7 years + I went to ...
Great filters! After 7 years + I went to change the water filters in the house. I went all over to look for these at the big box stores. I finally put in paper filters, and got rust and smell from my water. I found these on Amazon, and replaced the paper filters, and Immediately got rid of the rust and smell. Now I will be changing the 2 filters every year.

Cannot fit
Cannot fit to my 10" tabletop filter system. The water goes from the top and exits in the other side. The rubber gasket on the top is likely too high to prevent any water from going in. A USD35 product that goes to waste.

I bought this filter to go into a new filter system to replace two smaller ones that fed the refrigerator and sink dispenser. The old systems used 1/4" line and I have 1/2" on the new. Now the new system supplies the sink, refrigerator, and pot filler. The flow rate is understandably much greater. I use two cartridges and this cartridge is the second stage. Water quality does not seem to be any different than the old systems and I would recommend this product based on my experience.
