Good Quality But Not White

I wanted to try this drainer in the Faberware brand as the item that I selected in the Rubbermaid products had a "built-in Microban antimicrobial"(!) built into it! As it turns out, this is a nice sturdy dish-drainer, a little larger than Rubbermaid's largest, and I like that it came with the drain board and that it is raised at one end to facilitate draining of course and I no longer needed something to lift it at one end! I like the included 3 slot silverware holder as the silverware doesn't fall down, staying upright and I also like the spacing of the glasses/cup holders as my old Rubbermaid did not allow 2 mugs to be next to each other. The only downside - for me - is that it does not come across as white when I received it, but as almost a brushed metal due to the fact that it seems to be merely powder-coated and not the vinyl-coated that Rubbermaid has, so dishes clang against the metal. I also feel that the vinyl coating protects the dishes a little more. Otherwise, I think it's a good drainer.

Dish Drainer

I like this dish drainer except for one thing, the tray is not wide enough. When I hang my glasses on the prongs, they hang over the edge of the mat and drip on the counter so I have to put a towel down along side of it.

Overall: well-designed and sturdy

Overall, this is a well-designed, roomy, and sturdy dish rack. A few minor nitpicks: (1) the silverware holder should have drain holes on both sides so that you can hang it on the outside of the rack (i.e. over the sink) and be assured that water will drain out, (2) the plate supports should lean back a wee bit more, and (3) small plates tend to ride too low -- touching the bottom tray -- which they wouldn't if the rack's bottom wires (that run length-wise under the plate supports) were a bit closer together. I addressed issue #1 by drilling some holes in the bottom of the silverware holder (as I read someone else did) and that solved that issue.

Rubermaid dish drainer

I am very happy with dish drainer. I like that it drains well and easy to keep clean. I would buy this product again.

Excellent!!!

I searched the internet to no avail until i found this product. A bit large but nice quality, lots of room and bottom tray tilts down as to drain water out. Drains beautifully without having to tilt it. Looks good too!

It’s big, so have the space

We’re a big family, still wash dishes by hand most of the time so this was great. You’ll just need the space. If you don’t like it to show, don’t get it. It stands out

Best I've tried

Seriously impressed. 1. Needed LARGE and WIDE unit, too many are apartment size or stacked (which just leads to more chipped items). This takes over a dozen plates with LOTS of space on the side for glasses, bowls etc. Sturdy enough to hold big wood cutting boards and stack pots, mixing bowls and colanders on top. 2. Needed to deal with a wonderful old porcelain farm sink with a raised edge. That's why we had so many problems with other drainers. If softer plastic they would start to warp where the sink edge sits higher than the counter. We tried wedges to keep the sink side high enough to fit over the raised edge and the far side high enough to allow drainage, but it wasn't always stable and still led to lots of water on the counter. THIS unit is built with a raised base, higher on one end to create a good tilt, and a nice wide drain on the other. WORKS BEAUTIFULLY. Fits over the high sink lip, tilts properly to drain well, firm material to keep it's shape and nice and deep to hold lots of water. No more overflow running off the counter and damaging cabinet doors and wood floors. Yes, I still need to put a small towel down for glasses occasionally placed on outside holders (apparently NO ONE designs trays wide enough to accommodate glasses hanging off the sides) but this is a small issue considering the amount of water from lots of dripping dishes that goes straight into the sink or stays safely in the deep tray. Was prepared to spend much more to solve my problems, works better than even expensive steel models. It's LONG, WIDE, FIRM, STABLE, RAISED BASE and TILTED, easy to keep CLEAN. Actually makes me smile when I'm doing the dishes.

Compact for tight areas

The only downfall is the color availabilities for a compact easy to maintain dish rack, works good and affordable. Ask me in a year about it's durability's? It's sitting on by my island sink where all the actions happen in a kitchen as you see in the photo saving me from using the main sink. As you see, I place my utensil rack on the outside, generating more useful space inside. I find the rack is a hinderance in wasting space. They should make a larger model at least 2-4 inches wider.

Love the Rack but not the Colour

I just received this dish rack a few days ago, I love it so far! It seems to be really well made and sturdy. We have heavy plates and they would flip forward in the last dish rack. With this rack the plates stand straight up. The utensil holder can easily be moved to accommodate different needs. The glass/cup holders are sturdy and allow enough space to be able to utilize each peg, which I have never been able to do with previous racks. (At least not without holding my breath.) I love that the glass/cup holders are on both sides of the rack. Allows to dry 8 glasses or cups. One downside is the water/drip tray isn’t oversized to accommodate the dripping glassware. I bought a dish drying mat cut it in 2 strips and put that under each side of the mat to solve that problem. The other downside was,based on the product photo and lighting, this dish rack looked like a brighter red, which is what I was hoping for. This colour is more brown/red. I’ve added a photo of the mat vs a bright red turkey baster top for reference. Overall, I love this rack, but if you are looking for a bright red kitchen accent, this isn’t it.

Perfect size, design and colour

Great size , design and love the colour . The main tray is slow draining and the drain holes on the utensil holder are on the wrong end . Not a huge issue overall
