Very thin material

Very very thin. Comfortable, yes and accepted they are dress socks, not ski socks. However they are painfully thin - almost tight material. I would prefer something a little more substantial.

Great for Naked dancing

Bought these socks for our Nudist Colony ball. Black socks are the only item allowed for gentlemen. Wonderful....heads turned...at least I hope they were looking at my socks! Anyway...I was the talk of the ball and the other members (forgive the pun) voted me the best undressed man! Hooray!

Well, let's just say that a hubby of mine ONLY wears good socks and £20 a pair is not something he would go crazy about, but instead it is the price range he would be willing to pay for a pair of socks ( and pants for that matter). His argument? They last forever! They fit like a silicon glove! the have cushioning where it is needed and additional grip where it is needed! They never slide down and you barely know you have them on, while your feet are dry and warm and there is no friction one single bit, so no blisters or scuffed skin! So, we got a whole load of Falke socks! I must admit I was sceptical at first myself, as got a set of uberexpensive but really plain and basic white pants that I could not justify the pricetag for at first, but after a few washes and many days of wear it dawned on me what he meant! Hence off to wear all these socks instead of his usual selection of Te..Bak... and others he went! Verdict - it is well worth the price tage! Just as the pants worked out to be well worth it! LOL! Bottom line - we have discovered a new brand that has unrivaled quality coupled with the most basic and plain design, which given the range of items fits us to the letter! Highly recommended!

Thin see-through fabric - Nice Summer season socks

These FALKE Firenze socks are well made. Traditional style Mid-calf socks. These are soft and lightweight. Non-elastic and cotton rich fabric. The socks are made up of 97 % cotton & 3% polyamide. These will not stretch while worn because there is no elastane in the fabric. Good ventilation. The fabric is see-through. Ideal for the summer season. There is very little cushioning. Perfect fitting. It's not easy to find socks with close range fitting i.e., (43-44). This means that these will fit better than wide range ones. These look great with a pair of formal shoes. Given the cushioning, I don't think these would be suitable for casual shoes or trainers. Although the current price tag of £16.00 for a pair is expensive, the quality is also good. Recommended.
