Beautiful piece, weird holes

This sink is beautiful! We ordered it for a kitchen renovation at our beach home, and it’s perfect. The 9” depth is excellent for larger items, and the grate at the bottom will help keep this piece looking as good as new. We like the more industrial look of it as a contrast to our beachy style. We had a bit of an issue securing an appropriate faucet. We are ending up using a commercial faucet because we top mounted the sink and there are 2 centered holes that call for a 4” spread. The only faucet that will work is a bar faucet, bathroom faucet or a commercial faucet. We could not locate a kitchen faucet that would appropriately line up with the pre-bored holes. We like a more commercial style anyway, it was just a bit of a goose chase. I can’t imagine that many people want to go in that direction. Fortunately this brand has other hole combinations available. This came with easy to follow instructions and an easy to use and understand template to cut the butcher block. We were thrilled to be able to handle this part of the renovation ourselves.

First unit severely damaged on arrival. Replacement looks great!

Update: Increased rating to 5. Received a replacement unit. Well packaged from factory. All parts present. It seems that the first one I received must have been a damaged return that was not re-packaged properly, hence damaged unit in undamaged box and was missing parts (e.g. no rack, most clips for drop-in mount missing). ===== First unit review: The sink looked great. Except the front edge was bent 45 degrees across the entire front. Three of the four corners were smashed in. For heavy gauge steel that took an impressive amount of force to inflict that extent of damage. The installation (4) clips were rattling around loose in the box. Oddly the box looked undamaged.

Great sink!

Love the sink. My only concern is that the rubber on the edges of the sink constantly move around and fall off. Wish they were made to fit tighter, otherwise very happy with my purchase.

Excellent Quality

I found the quality of this sink to be high. It feels very solid in your hands, not that feeling of tin. Once installed I noticed the garbage disposal runs quieter than it did with the sink I just replaced this one with. The grill on the bottom that comes with the sink is a nice added bonus as it keeps dishes up so that water can flow more freely towards the drain, it also helps with rinsing foods such as chicken. Just lay the food on it and rinse away. The drain hole is offset towards the back which keeps the disposal further back and leaves more up-front room under the cabinet. If I had to make one complaint it would be that the bottom is a tad too flat. While the water does flow towards the drain, when trying to rinse scrap foods down into the disposal the lack of pitch makes that task a bit difficult. I ordered the one with 5 holes, 3 for the faucet and the outer 2 for dish and hand soap pumps.

Arrived dented and scratched after first use. Don't buy!

Pretty disappointed at the dents, the bent corner, the dimple and how easily it scratched. Specially considering the cost. We have already hired a contractor and the old sink was already removed, so did not have much choice but to install it. Buy a better sink. Would not recommend!

Nice, large sink

This was a great buy for the price (used like new). One corner had a slight bend and I notice since I know where it is, but no one else would. If we had been able to do an undermount it would not have shown. This is a very large sink with lots of room for larger pots,etc. Like most new stainless steel, satin finish it is sensitive to scratching, but it is a beautiful, modern stainless sink and quiet. We're about average for DIY and this wasn't a big problem except for a couple counter clips where it was tight going...fortunately my hands are fairly small so between my husband and me we managed.

I Love this sink!!

I've had the sink about 6 months now and it's still good as new! I LOVE the depth of it, it keep the water warm for so long, and it's quiet. Install was a breeze and I've never even installed a sink before then. I keep it clean and shiny with bar keepers friend

Beautiful sink, terrible installation

Beautiful, well made sink but the top mount attachment system is useless. The clips are simply garbage. They don’t hold the sink at all, because they are hopelessly designed. The elkay screwdriver head is too thick to engage the clip screws, and 1/3 of my clip screws didn’t have a head to engage. The clips lean away from the countertop as they are tightened because of the design, and they have no purchase on 1 inch thick granite counter tops. They have to lean against the sink to hold in place and are easy to dislodge. They offer no hold near the faucet since there’s no sink wall to lean against. Worst installation ever. I modified clips from a cheap sink brand to make something durable that will last. In the photos you can see the head of the screwdriver is too thick for the screws. I also took a photo of one of the screws whose head isn’t properly cut. Also included a comparison with a cheapo brands properly designed clips. I have no faith that this system would pass an inspection.
