A good hose for cheap

I read the reviews before and so was a bit concerned that the internal diameter (ID) of the hose was not going to be 1/2". My first purchase was for a thermal expansion tank connector so that wasn't of really big concern. I am happy to report that the ID of these hoses is 15/32 of an inch (0.46875") at the brass nuts and at least 1/2" internally between the two end nuts. If you need full 16/32" of water flow then you probably should go with a more expensive alternative to this hose. Given that my water heater tank's hot water out anode-nipple combo rod has a small ID and I have an old galvanized 1/2" system up stream of my cold water intake to the heater, it won't make much difference in my particular case to lose the 1/16" ID that some folks must have. I noted when inspecting the hose that the brass barrel nipple that is used to at least 1" deep on each side, so this appears to be a quality part, even if the intake and outtake brass ID is slightly smaller than spec. Will update this review if I find any significant issues when in use in our hot water home system, etc.

The inside diameter is just fine

To all those concerned that a few reviews slammed this product because the inside diameter is not 3/4", that is how most, if not all, water heater supply hoses are. The inside diameter is perfectly fine. The big stores sell hoses with the same inside diameter, you'll get plenty of water for typical residential use, & if you don't it's not because of this hose diameter. The supply lines to your bath sink, kitchen sink, tubs, and showers are not 3/4" either. People spreading stupidity.

It’s a hose what can I say

I used it when I replaced my water softener. It did the job, the quality looks decent and the price was right. It looked very similar to the hose it replaced(fluid master) not a terribly different design and that hose was 10 years old and only being replaced as a precaution.

Looks good in our water closet!

We used this to connect up a thermal expansion tank in our water closet. It curves nicely, although you do have to fiddle with the connector bearings a little if you want it to loop properly in a tight space. Since installing this cable, we ordered two more to replace the old corrugated ss flex hoses from our water pipes to our water heater. It looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing, what with all the new ss braided 3/4" cables in there now.

Quality

I saw several reviews about the is smaller than they expected. Although it says 1/2 inch all others are the same issue. This is for hot water and the flex pipe itself needs a lining to accommodate its function.

Good quality for great price

Great heavy duty hose used to connect water softener. Not a full 3/4 internal diameter, but no big issue on that for our needs. Compared to big box stores, same quality at half the price.
