Better set than the TOOB: The Land Down Under set

I bought two sets of small Australian animals and want share the comparison. The two I bought are: Wild Republic Australia Toy Figures (WRA) and TOOB: The Land Down Under. Personally, I like the WRA ones better. They have more painted details (eyes, mouths, etc.), are slightly bigger, and the snakes are awesome. In comparison, the TOOB snake is so skinny that it feels very cheap. Also, my grandson loves snakes so having three (in WRA) is terrific. Both sets are made of the same hard plastic. I bought TOOB because I wanted the cockatoo and it is a good cockatoo—except it doesn’t stand up the way the emu does. Also the WRA set arrived about a week sooner.

Great for pretend play

My 5 year old daughter loves playing with these little animals. They end up in all sorts of pretend play. If you are looking for these for a diorama then know that the size comparisons to each other aren’t accurate. For instance the Tasmanian Devil is about the same size as the Kangaroo and the Koala is bigger then both of them. The positive is that they are very realistic and they are a good quality.

Perfect gift for Australian animal lovers

My son asked Santa for these and we also received duplicates as gifts. Wild Republic always makes great quality toys. You do pay a bit more but they are quality and will hold up. I highly recommend.

Great sets of animals

We have 4 sets of these animals for our grandson. The detail is great and they stand up well. I wish it had come with a guide listing the animals but we figured out what they were. Highly recommend

Lovely detail

We love these! Can't beat them for $10. I freeze them one at a time in recycled fruit cups with water and my daughter "saves" them. The only one that is tricky to stand is the emu, but it's a good test of patience for the 3 year old.

Fun creature toys

Love these figurines. Both of my boys (2 and 6) play with them all the time. Some of them are small, so I’d definitely supervise young children when they’re playing with these animals (choking hazard)

Realistic

Great little animals, but they are TINY & not in proportion; the platypus is giant & the kangaroo is tiny! Good value for money, 19mo loves them. Next time I would probably try get something bigger.

En general bien, sin embargo en algunos animales les hace falta más calidad y el color no creo se asemeje al real. Adicional, sobre todos los animales polares son más grandes a diferencia de los otros.

Animals look good but they are odd sizes- for example the koala is a giant compared to the kangaroo etc which doesn’t reflect the animals in real life
