helpful add-on to standard walker
The upright walker is an excellent device for those with mobility issues and have trouble staying upright. But the upright walker is suitable from a minimal height of about 5 ft. My mother is 4'6" due to osteoporosis and the upright walker would not work for her. However this extension added just enough height to help her stand more upright. The material is a light metal material so it does not add much weight. The clamps that hold onto the walker are secure with a lot of screws for easy adjustability. If the user stumbles however, this arm could twist out of place even with fairly secure tightening. It can easily be reset into correct position, but just be aware that the arm can twist if there's some kind of balance or coordination problem with the user.

Useful with arm brace
Helps a lot with a walker since my wife also had wrist fracture with an arm brace. Gave better control of walker with limited use of injured arm.

Best walker attachment to help alleviate pressure on knees!
This product enables me to walk longer distances without the stiff neck and shoulders I get with other conventional walkers I will get tired after a while but I can go about three times further walking distance with these elbow rests I think it takes about 40 lbs of pressure off my knees for easier exercise walking I love it but for shopping I still need my seat walker

Wonderful product, really helped my mom post-accident - she had a fractured wrist & ankle, which meant she was totally immobile without a fantastic aid like this letting her use the weight of her forearm on the walker! You have to attach the arm to the walker or other device you're using. It fits most standard walkers, I didn't do any special research to find one that was compatible, it was very easy. However, when you attach it, you do need a bit of strength to turn the fasteners tight enough to create a safe hold. If you have arthritis in your hands (as my mom does) you will need a strong child (as my mom has) or otherwise able bodied person to assist with assembly. But assembly is NOT hard, particularly if you've ever put together a book case from Target. It's a breeze in comparison!

Good product
The product was made well and sturdy, but it's a little too heavy for my patient to lift. With her hand being broken and in a cast, she can't grasp the handle of a regular walker at this time. Being off balance, she still needs to use a walker. I purchased this item, and while it works perfect for me to demonstrate to her how to walk with it, it's just too much weight being added on, and she couldn't get it up the stairs.

Maybe two...
A physical therapist recommended this attachment for after knee surgery since I have a platform crutch. It attached to the walker easily enough but I quickly learned that using it caused the walker to want to tilt to that side. I have to bear heavily on the other side to keep it from happening. The only solution I can think of is a platform on both sides. It is well made but it is different from using the platform crutch.
