Versatile boot—professional and casual!
I needed a black leather shoe with no color or visible logos for my uniform at work. My work requires me to travel a lot so I wanted a shoe that would also be my go-to daily wear for civilian clothing (and still look cute as heck). Look no further! This boot is perfect for what I needed. It looks incredibly professional with business casual/uniform and I’ve gotten lots of compliments from coworkers…but it also looks badass and so cute in my daily shorts and t shirt or goth attire! Best of both worlds!!! I am okay with how it feels with its standard insert but It doesn’t have much room to add your own or add any cushion. I got a size 8 womens and I am usually a true 8 but sometimes a 8-8.5 in boots. It’s a perfect size for normal socks and my foot slips in super easily. However it’s very very snug with thicker socks or when I tried my own insoles. Would recommend a size up if you do that. I normally wear insoles with shoes but as stated, it’s too tight to wear with these. However, I have not experienced any problems or noticeable pain with standing all day in these. I wear them almost daily and walk quite a bit. I have scuffed them up and spilt things on them but a quick wipe with a rag has them looking like new. I love Dr. Martens (own quite a few pairs) and expect these to last years. There is no stitching on the boot and the sole is a great size, not super large or bulky like their classic boots. There is a tag at the top of the boot with the Dr martens logo but it is hidden underneath any standard sized pant. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Fits an insole
I wear a size 7.5, and I typically prefer to size up a little in boots, so I ordered the US 8/EU 39. They fit like a true EU 39, which is more like a US 8.5. On they’re own, they’re too big, but with an insole, they fit perfectly. Even though it’s a fairly narrow cut of boot, there’s still enough space to comfortably fit a full-length insole, which is great because there’s no arch support at all. The leather is not quite as stiff as the traditional 1460 boots, and a lot shinier. I’d expect them to hold up to winter weather pretty well. They’re pretty uncomfortable at the instep where the leather seam meets the elastic panel and where the top of the boot hits my leg, but I think they’ll get better with a break in period.

Good fit but huge creases in shoe -- you get what you pay for
These boots fit as expected (usually an 8.5 but sized down to an 8 based on online guides/reviews), but both boots came with significant creases. One of them is especially bad, to the point where the Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam will do nothing to fix them. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Good quality but they run big
Really wanted a pair of doc martens as I have heard so many great things. I purchased these in a size 8 (my normal size) and they are too big even with thick socks. Wanted to exchange for a size 7 but price went up significantly so I’m going to hold for now. I am returning these but the quality of these shoes is great. I see why this brand gets so many great reviews however definitely do research the sizing. Based on my experience I would say go 1 size down from your norm especially since they are leather and will loosen up even more over time.

The best! All day comfort when you find the right size. I normally wear 8.5 but after reading a lot of reviews decided I should go a whole size down, but Docs only come in whole sizes so I went with a 7. It was way too narrow and my toes hit the top, but I thought they might stretch out so I wore them around the house for a week or so before deciding to try an 8 for comparison. The 8 was almost perfect and had room for an insole which I normally put in boots for comfort anyway. They didn't need much breaking in, the first few times I wore them my feet were tired after a couple hours but quickly they became comfortable enough to wear all day. They're not as shiny as in the pictures either which I was happy about. Great with jeans and they don't look or feel clunky or heavy like other Docs I've seen. Great as rain boots too.

Great Chelsea Boot
Once I actually got the right size, I couldn't be happier with these. Definitely should have listened to allllll the many reviews that these are too large. I am a true size 8 in US Women's, and I ended up getting the 7 (UK 5). Despite being a more 'feminine' version of Dr. Marten's more classic chelsea boot, these are still pretty sturdy looking on my feet. I do not have a problem with this, but they were bulkier than I was expecting. So far haven't had any issues with breaking them in either. Overall, very happy with these boots now that I have the right size and I got them at a steal! Would recommend to anyone wanting a high quality chelsea boot that they are anticipating wearing the hell out of :)

Wanted to love them but they were way too big.
I had on thick socks and the boots were flopping off of my feet. I think if I bought a smaller size, they would be too short. Too bad because they are beautiful and look really well made.

Beautiful but Runs Big; Stiff leather
Love this Chelsea style and the quality is exceptional. BUT, the leather is really stiff. Not sure how people break this in without cutting off their toe circulation with each step. That stiff. Also, I’m a standard 8 all day long and the size 8 was too big. Probably would have been 7.5 if offered. Then again because of the stiffness of the leather, not sure I would have kept it anyway.

True to size for me - size 8!
These boots are in fact true to size - at least they were for me! I am usually a size 8 US, but I ordered a size down as per the advice of many reviewers. I found the 7 too tight! The size 8 are perfect, and I can fit slightly thicker socks on. Overall I love these boots. They aren't dainty but they're a great mid winter boot for our lovely Canadian winters when you don't need to wear your next level giant boots outside. They keep my feet dry and they're pretty comfy. The one boot hits against my ankle a bit so higher socks or pant coverage may be key. This may go away with time though! Overall I would recommend these boots!

Great style, tough wear
Product looks great. The shoes are very stiff, hard to break in, makes my feet sore on top due to the tough “leather upper”.

Too stiff and boxy
The boot is super stiff and 'boxy'. What I mean by that is that the slope of the the front is gradual so it looks like your foot starts about 3 inches up your shin so if makes you look like you have short legs. The stiff collar around the top digs into your shin and is very abrasive.
