Perfect width

I bought three Delta Venetian Bronze hardware pieces for my newly remodeled bathroom. I prefer Venetian because of those pretty gold "scratches" that pop through the bronze finish. This towel rod is the perfect width and sturdy, I hang my towel out to dry every day. I can't answer how easy it was to install, because I handed it off to my contractor.

zinc

The retail price for this is a bit high for zinc die cast. Zinc is pretty cheap. It doesn't look good if the finish gets gouged. As of 2012, for $40-$50 you can get a solid brass or steel bar from Baldwin. But this delta finish is thick stainless steel, not chintzy at all. The style is unique. The mounting hardware is zinc/steel. So if you absolutely must get stainless steel in style this is a good choice I think. Hope that helps.

Good for the money

Overall very good product. Just has a lot more plastic to it than i would like, but given it is on the cheaper side i can't conplain too much. Please watch as every piece i have in this style sticks out away from the wall considerable more than most i believe.

Stable and secure

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I ordered this towel bar, along with several other matching Delta accessories. They all install using the exact same technique, and I haven't had a bit of trouble with any of them. We hang two full-size bath towels on this bar and months later there's not a sign of weakening or instability. I use the screw-in type of dry-wall anchors for a secure mount. Absolutely no problems otherwise.

I have 3 very active and messy children from 6-17 years old. We needed more room on the towel rack so I got this. It holds heavy bath (slightly damp) towels nicely, but it is quite thin. You also need a good amount of room around it, or else you will hit yourself on it, which my husband has. Other than that, it does it's job.

Great transaction

This was a replacement for a towel bar I bought locally that had a crack in it, and which broke as soon as I closely examined it, feeling the crack with my finger. My contractor said "those things always have problems," which thrilled me not. I decided Amazon was the way to go, and I was right. The towel bar was perfect, no nicks, cracks, etc., and the turnaround on the sale was quick! So I finally got my guest bathroom finished and it looks just great. I can always trust Amazon and it's vendors!

Poor quality product

The first unit we received had a dent and visible defects on the two mounting posts. Returned it to Amazon, who promptly sent out a replacement. (Yay, Amazon!!) Unfortunately, the 2nd unit had the same defects in the exact same places: at the top and bottom (12 o'clock and 6 o'clock on the escutcheon plates). So I called Delta's Customer Service department, and sent them photos showing the defects. They quickly sent me a third unit. Sadly, it had the same defects.
